A Football Thread

Ok This is a good question to ask today and I know there are gonna be some haters and thats all good but...

If you had the chance to trade every QB on your roster for Every QB on the Raiders roster would you do it?

Chiefs plus = a game tested starting qb who basically is what you had last year stat wise.
Chiefs minus = No experience in the NFL at all with backups.

Raiders Plus = Not many really except youth and potential
Raiders Minus = Unproven QBS... ALL of them

Mother****erJones 05-28-2013 10:22 AM

I'll keep smith Daniel and bray thank you. Absolutely no advantage in having any of the Raiders QBs

loochy 05-28-2013 10:23 AM

Yeah...I'm by no means a Smith fan, but I'll take the Chiefs in this one.

R8RFAN 05-28-2013 10:29 AM

I think everybody is looking at Flynn as the big deal at QB for the Raiders... I think the big deal will be Tyler Wilson, they are saying he looks really really good so far.

Dunerdr 05-28-2013 11:03 AM

Fluff theyre not gonna say he looks like shit. The only hope is wilson.

AdumbGuy 05-28-2013 11:08 AM

Guess I'm in the minority, but I'll take Pryor and Wilson's potential over the chiefs expected mediocrity. Our best hope is Tyler Bray and there's an outside shot he doesn't even make the roster. **** 8-8

Backwards Masking 05-28-2013 11:25 AM

no, which shows how bad the Raiders QB's are

Rasputin 05-28-2013 11:32 AM

We could be wishing we had Tyler Wilson by years end.

I'd rather have unproven college picks than Alex Smith.

mcaj22 05-28-2013 11:34 AM

id take my chances with Pyror + Andy Reid + Chiefs weapons over noodle dick broke dick injury prone shitbag Alex Smith any day

This doesn't seem like AdumbGuy.

Mama Hip Rockets 05-28-2013 11:45 AM

I literally cannot even name a QB on the Raiders. Who is their QB right now?

I don't think Pryor will be a QB in the NFL... He is a freak... Maybe a WR if he can catch

Easy 6 05-28-2013 12:23 PM

Hell no, Smiff may not be the sexy dreamboat everyone wanted, but he's proven he can win with a good team, Daniel has a solid pedigree and i really like Brays upside.

He is on a 2-14 team though

Three reasons for that...

1) *****'s Culture of Fear and Loathing
2) Matt Cassel
3) That lovable clown Romeo Crennel, in waaay over his head.

Forget the players, just finally getting some real leadership from the top down is going to go a long way in turning that record around, i'm convinced of that.

your conclusion that the chiefs aren't bad

cmon, you've got to admit, they're bad

they will undoubtedly be better than last year

but you can't go from 2-14 to 14-2

I don't want to start a shit storm but you made a lateral move at QB and maybe a lateral move at coach... I like Reid , but I wonder if Reid still has it... He had a dream team a couple years ago that flopped.. It's not like you got Harbaugh or anything, Reid may be nothing more than a retread now...

R8RFAN 05-28-2013 01:31 PM

If the Chiefs got from 2-14 to 8-8 Reid will probably win coach of the year

R8RFAN 05-28-2013 01:33 PM

I meant Lateral move not vertical

ShowtimeSBMVP 05-28-2013 01:34 PM

Jerry McDonald ‏@Jerrymcd 13m

D.J. Hayden's abdomenal issue that will keep him out until training camp is a major setback, and immediately raises post-surgical concerns.

I didnt say we werent bad, 2-14 is almost as bad as it gets, but i do think that this new regime is going get things headed in the right direction.

I sincerely doubt we were the only ones who hated ***** and how he ran this team, just imagine the relief of the players at getting some proven new blood in there, just the more upbeat mindset should be good for 2 more wins.

I too wondered if Reid still had it, in fact, i absolutely ranted several times that i did NOT want him here... "he's burned out, emotional mess, needs to take a year or two off etc"

As for the last few years in philly, i'm sure you were here for philly noob invasion, they really shed some light on the terribly dicordant culture of upper managment there, all kinds of backbiting and infighting, i'm sure that played no small role in those last few years.

I have dreams every year too lately and every year I get disappointed and say next year so I will leave the chief dreaming to you all and I will do the Raider dreaming

I keep hearing he has a fantastic attitude and work ethic ... so he's tebow with more potential and less drama. Meh, why not.

But I think he represents the Raiders entire QB as a whole. Massively boom or bust. I have no problem with that.

I always root for the raiders and chargers when they're not playing the chiefs (**** the broncos though) so your qb situation should be an interesting subplot for me this season.

AdumbGuy 05-29-2013 03:10 AM

-Flynn threw for more yards in his first nfl game than alex smith did in his first 5 games combined or his last 4 games combined
-Flynn threw for more TDs in his first nfl game than alex smith did in his first 14 games combined or his last 5 games combined

So yes, Flynn in one game threw for 450+ yds and 6tds - surely a fantastic and rare game. How rare? Alex Smith has never approached 350 yds or thrown more than 3 tds... in 7 years.

And for the record, l laughed when Seattle gave Flynn a big contract just because of one big game.

Last year stats wise?

Cassel in 2012 - QBR of 36.5, Rating of 66.7

Smith in 2012 - QBR of 70.1, Raiting of 104.1

You have been reading the Chiefsplanet too much if you think these are similar quarterbacks stats-wise last year.

ChiefMojo 05-29-2013 05:25 AM

Is this a legit question???

Hell yea I would take KC's QB situation over Oakland's in a heartbeat!

Molitoth 05-29-2013 07:10 AM

I have no interest in Pryor....

Although I'd take Flynn and Wilson over Alex Smith, Chase Daniel, and Bray.
And I'd have my x2 second round draft picks.

Sweet Daddy Hate 06-03-2013 10:23 AM

What kind of ****ing poll is this?

"Would you rather have turd A, or turd B"?

Jesus...

Well, no one is saying Pryor looks very good. Coach Allen says that Flynn is the starting QB "for now". If Flynn loses the starting job to a rookie named Wilson a second time he will never live it down. I believe if everything hadn't imploded around him in Arkansas Wilson would have gone in the first round.
