Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Tanner Scheppers was unavailable Friday after being assaulted on a Cleveland street Thursday night.

Scheppers was allegedly "sucker punched" by a group of men and suffered a contusion and bruised left eye. He hasn't displayed any concussion-like symptoms and expects to be available Saturday. The incident took place in downtown Cleveland a few blocks from the Rangers team hotel was located.

The only way to get Sale out quickly is to run up his pitch count, which would require a lot of patience on the plate. 2 swings or 1 swings isn't helping much....

We didn't last year. It wasn't a bad season. We were in 1st most of the year and just choked late. We had a very young pitching staff and didn't hit late down the stretch. Maybe for the Royals it is because you haven't made the playoffs since what '85? You'll get there
