But seriously, a guy from NC slinging crap about KC? |
Tired of paying 200 per night at Myrtle Beach for a Motel .. Gonna take it out a few times, if I love it, I will keep it... If not I will sell it...
I was already offered 3k more than I paid for it so I don't think it will be hard to sell if I decided it wasn't for me... Hell Insurance wasn't 245.00 for a whole year and that includes collision |

you might get a tube top for yourself there romeo :D
|
you can off-set the fuel costs by renting it out to bang bros or bang bus.
|
Now some details about the cool stuff in it...
Of course ac/heat (vents) Full stand up shower Queen size bed in master bedroom 4000 watt generator that is very quiet and is controlled with a push of a button inside 100% self contained if you need to live in a walmart parking lot got one of those satellite dome dish things on top... Hit the button and it finds the satellite for you. 3 burner stove + convection microwave band new tires all around (2 weeks ago) New Awning push button slideout as seen in pics electric steps |

Far be it from me to come into one of these threads to fart on it, but up there on the side of the overhang- around and under that window- are those shadows or delamination? 'Cause if it's delam it could indicate some structural problems (wood rot) under that skin. Those C class units are notorious for that. Having said that, though, the lack of a window in the front of the nose is definitely in your favor because those were just the worst ever for rain leaks.
When you look in those cabinets around the TV do you see any stains on the walls or ceiling? Or, can you smell faint bleach from the cleanup of said stains? I've seen what's under the surface of that nose when it needs rebuilding, and it ain't much. Like, 2x2 and Luan. |
have that front end inspected -- new tires always hides front end wear.

This has been a dream of my mine and Mrs. Steron. Not likely to happen anytime soon. Nice dude. Congrats.
|
I also gave it a pretty extensive drive... It's tight, you barely even hear the coffee cups clink against each other at highway speeds..
|
Quote:
|
Question, do you need a special drivers license to drive it?
|
just pull up to a rv park and pay one of the gypsy kids 5 dollars to empty the shitter

I'd like to have one of those, but haven't taken the time to figure out the cost tradeoff of purchase and fuel and parking fees versus just getting a hotel.

I like sleeping in my bed also... A bed that I know is clean with clean sheets and comforter + no bed bugs I have nice lakes and places to go within a 50 mile radius and I am only 200 miles from the beach. Some electric hookup spots can be had for 15 bucks a night... Go to Myrtle Beach with a dog and after taxes you will drop 200 per night easy unless you want to go to a roach motel. |

I honestly don't understand the appeal of RV's.

That probably didn't sway you, I guess. |

They're just too damned expensive (both price and cost of ownership) for me to understand the value proposition. |

Actually there's a different key for the deadbolt so that lessens the fun possibilities somewhat...

Why the **** would a Raiders fan buy an RV?
You can't even cross state lines... |

I'll take a night at a hotel 10 out of 10 times. I don't feel like cleaning my own shit up while on vacation.

Where's the meth lab stored?

I'm more worried about getting Juliette Lewis out of the shower in time to voice some more Squidbillies. No one can do "white-slut-who's-given-up-on-life" quite like she can... |

I like it I do.
But so expensive when you figure the upfront cost + insurance + upkeep + gas + campground fees. I figure get a nice motel room and do some hiking. I love camping though so I do get it. Thats why we always owned one of these. It was a daily driver, camping was usually free. I miss having one..these are getting dang expensive as well. http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4042/4...64d_z.jpg?zz=1 |

If you decide to put a meth lab in it, just remember that cops need a warrant to enter without your permission, just like a residence.

For a while there during the economic depression, they couldn't give these things away. Whole dealerships went tits up. You must have got it for a song. The only problem is $4/gallon gas. Oh well, can't have everything.

So, if we assume you're spending around $25k on a mid-level, used RV, a rough guesstimate (ignoring stuff like time value of money, maintenance, and interest rates) says you'll get your money out of it if you use it for 200 nights or more. Maybe someday when I retire... |
when I lived in Peculiar, the cool old couple across the street were retired. They would bolt from like October through May to avoid the cold in their BA RV ...it was huge. almost like a Bus.
I'd love to be able to do that someday. |
