I was gonna say, the odds of winning the 2013 SB are pretty slim...

RealSNR 08-05-2013 12:33 PM

The Cowboys and the Bears have better odds than the Bengals? :spock:

saphojunkie 08-05-2013 12:36 PM

If I had to bet on either the Chiefs at 50/1 or the Broncos at 6/1... I'm taking KC.

Mr_Tomahawk 08-05-2013 12:38 PM

But the Jets have Geno!

You are just throwing your money away if you bet on the Chiefs.

We have 9 games against teams they think are in the bottom 12

Public teams.

There really aren't any shrewd SB bets this year, IMO.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 08-05-2013 12:46 PM

I would consider $20 on Detroit.

If I were forced to lay any significant money on any of those it would probably be Atlanta, but I'll throw $10 on KC just for the hell of it next weekend.

Based on Manning's history in the playoffs, betting on Denver might be throwing money away as well.

Saul Good 08-05-2013 01:03 PM

Packers and Giants seem like good value to me.

Manning has how many playoff wins?

Sanchez has how many playoff wins?

Who has more INT'S/turnovers?...

It's funny how his brother Eli is the exact opposite of him when it comes to playoff success.

He got lucky. Luck is a HUGE factor in the playoffs. How many fumbles did Kyle Williams have? How did the Pats not sack him? How did Tyree make that catch?

When you have two good teams going at it luck can be the deciding factor in the game. Just see that Flacco play last year. Or Byners fumble to send Denver to the Super Bowl in the 80's.

Manning has played well in the playoffs, hell he led the game winning drive against Baltimore late in the 4th quarter... then, the fluke happened.

Funny, if Manning had done it, he would've been the greatest of all time and not a fluke

Have you seen the list of QBs he beat in the playoffs? Guys like Plummer, Huard, Sanchez, and Grossman... When he plays good QBs, he almost always loses.

BossChief 08-05-2013 02:08 PM

And when he wins, he is carried to victory.

Totally agree. The Broncos are one play away from having a 2-14 season. Better hope your OL steps up this year because the Chiefs are bringing it! And their target is one giant forehead.

007 08-05-2013 02:51 PM

Odds of Manning choking the playoffs again.... 2/1

Ace Gunner 08-05-2013 03:24 PM

I'd bet on ATL or the NYG

Quesadilla Joe 08-05-2013 03:42 PM

I don't see why you have to root against Denver in the playoffs. I mean, if you aren't in the playoffs don't you want to see another AFCW team do good in the playoffs? It only makes the division look better.

I guess you missed the play where Manning threw the INT that essentially sealed the game.

How about indi? I would throw $20 their way.

Cool, our QB should have gone to as many SB's as Neckton

He threw a pick six earlier in the game and then threw a pick in OT that gave Baltimore the ball in FG range. Yeah, he kicked ass that game.

Pasta Little Brioni 08-05-2013 05:21 PM

Flacco's TD pass wasn't a fluke. Bomb from a big armed QB to a burner against a suspect secondary.

tk13 08-05-2013 05:21 PM

The argument no one ever makes is that when Manning did win a Super Bowl, he finished that postseason with 3 TD and 7 INT. He didn't exactly tear it up.

Still at the end of the day they won, but it's not like he suddenly lit the world on fire like Flacco did last year.

That's what happened last season. Baltimore was a 4th and 29 miracle away from not even making the playoffs.

ROFL He played well? He had three Ints and a lost fumble. That is FOUR turnovers. Had it not been for Trindon Holliday, Denver would have been blown out at home.

HonestChieffan 08-05-2013 08:12 PM

Chiefs are in it. No doubt.

TEX 08-05-2013 08:40 PM

I think I'm gonna put $2k - $5k on the GIANTS or TEXANS. Seems to be low risk high reward. I did that with Baltimore last year ($4k at 16-1) and it really paid off!

DanBecky 08-05-2013 08:41 PM

I don't get how St. Louis has better odds than KC.

They have a decent defense and a QB who has actually *gasp* thrown more than 18 TD passes in a season.

That's more than we have.

Mav 08-06-2013 09:18 AM

Im most stunned at the 9/1 for the Patriots. The Atlanta one is a head scratcher too.

If you are going to bet, id wait. Once the world realizes that you can have all the offense in the world, but if your defense cant stop anyone, the Broncos odds are going to fall.
