Need Your Vote to save a Drive-In
 

As many of you know, film studios are going to stop making 35mm prints at the end of this year. The Drive-In I work for here in KC, the I-70, is going to need four digital projectors. Given the size of our screens and the throw distance from the booth to the field, the upgrade is going to be particularly expensive for us .

Honda is currently sponsoring an online contest called Project Drive-In. The top five vote getters will have a digital projector install free of charge by Honda.

Needless to say, winning this contest would be a huge help to us at the I-70, as it will cover 25% of the expense needed to keep running.

So my fellow Planteers, I ask for your vote for the I-70...not only to keep it open, but to help save the jobs of those that work there. It is a small business, and we are like family.

Perfect Drive-In night here tonight. Weather broke last night, temp here now about 62. Early sunset. I can smell the fried burritos now.

Love the I-70 Drive In even though I rarely make it. Like knowing I can. Will vote a bunch in the next week or so.

Publishers Clearing House could show up at his doorstep with a big check saying "your the winner ..." and mofo would probably bitch until they change their minds and gave it to somebody else.
