The Browns should only take a QB in the 2014 first round if he's a sure thing

Right? I mean, that's what I've been told by numerous people on this forum.

The QB need for them is now pretty damn dire, but they shouldn't draft one just to draft one. Only if he's the right guy!

They can't afford another busted QB, right?

Right?

Direckshun 09-18-2013 04:56 PM

They should take one if they see the tools in him to take them to the Super Bowl.

I don't know what the other reeruns on this forum say about shit, but that's my line, you Joeckeling mother****er.

RealSNR 09-18-2013 04:59 PM

What if Teddy Bridgewater looks a bit... shall we say....

DaneMcCloud 09-18-2013 05:02 PM

I wouldn't count out the possibility of them trading for Cam Newton in the offseason.

Rivera's a goner and Gettleman and the new HC will likely want their own guy.

KCUnited 09-18-2013 05:03 PM

Bridgewater is Aaron Brooks 2.0

Wow. I mean, that'd be pretty sweet. But why would the Panthers do that?

RealSNR 09-18-2013 05:12 PM

I guess you can add Josh Freeman to the list of potential trades? I have no idea if those rumors about him getting out of Tampa are founded on anything or not.

Gettelman's already put the team and Newton on notice. Personally, I love Cam Newton but he was doomed this season the second that Mike Shula was hired as his OC. He ****ing sucks ass and makes Brian Daboll look like Bill Walsh.

I wouldn't be shocked if Chud and Gettleman did business because it's obvious that Cam shined under Chud.

Freeman blows. He has immaturity issues and he's been up and down in his career.

I wouldn't give up more than a 5th rounder for him at this point and I think it would be 50/50 that he was on roster in two years of whomever traded for him.

If that goofy bastard Mike Glennon were anywhere near NFL ready, he'd be starting in Tampa.

I don't know, man. Freeman threw 17 INT's and had 8 fumbles last year and the year before he threw 22 INT's.

That's not coaching.

Eh, maybe, maybe not. It is a concern to be sure, but he did throw for over 4,000 yards though. I think the kid has ability, but Tampa hasn't exactly been a stable situation since he's been there.

In the right environment, I think the kid could excel.

Scheme is one thing: Talent is another.

You can take a less talented passer and put him in a system that helps him to excel.

But a truly talented passer can excel in any system.

David Carr, Tim Couch, JaMarcus Russell.

And Bradford was one of the more hyped QBs in recent memory. He hasn't performed due to a shit load of circumstances that almost no QB would be able to exceed in.

Yeah. There will prolly be mass suicides in Cleveland after this. First your owner has his company seized by the FBI, and now this.

Its been a stellar year for the browns.

In fairness, he's probably much better than what he's been able to show in cleveland, dude is a bruiser but he's been looking at 8-9 in the box because they literally have nothing else.

He was a good back on a bad team, Indy just got waaay better on offense.

Oh, they are starting Brian Hoyer. He was the 3RD QB ON THE DEPTH CHART.

This is full tank mode for this team.

They wont win 3 games, although there is the talent to win 10 if josh Gordon was ready to go. They are blowing this thing up completely.

This is ALL lombaridi Good call.

its coming out that the moment he took over, the reason he brought in Ray Farmer, was that he wanted to implode the entire roster.

Which now makes sense why a team that lacked some talent, traded away so many draft picks last year, for this next year.

Heart, toughness, being a Cleveland type guy. The toughness he showed last year coming off two knee surgeries, the broken ribs, and still fighting for every single yard.

He embodied what Cleveland is known for. A tough nose blue collar town.

That's what.

more symbolism, than production at this point.
