Ridiculous Tony Gonzalez Rumor

I wonder who made this up.

Tony Gonzalez Demands Trade To Kansas City Chiefs
"I Want To Know What It Feels Like To Play For a Winner," Says Disgruntled TE
By PFM Staff
Updated: October 8, 2013
ATLANTA – Following a 30-28 loss to the visiting New York Jets that dropped his Falcons to a disappointing 1-4, legendary TE Tony Gonzalez has issued a demand through his agent that Atlanta immediately trade him to the 5-0 Kansas City Chiefs, it was reported early Tuesday.

“I’ve always treasured my time as an Atlanta Falcon,” said Gonzalez in a statement. “But at age 37, and with time rapidly running out on this, my final season, I desperately want to know what it feels like to play for a winner, just once in my career.”

Gonzalez, who had 10 catches for 97 yards in the loss, has reportedly grown weary or the “losing culture” in Atlanta.

“Listen, no one can possibly accuse me of not being loyal,” Gonzalez claimed. “I bleed Falcon red, and I will always consider Atlanta my home. But the opportunity here is just too perfect: I’m winding down a Hall of Fame career, and find myself mired on a team hopelessly stuck in a losing spiral. The Chiefs, on the other hand, are a true Super Bowl contender at 5-0, but clearly need help at the TE position. And the Falcons can use the draft pick they acquire to begin the rebuilding process. It’s an ideal situation for everyone.”

Added Gonzalez: “Besides, I think I’d look really good in a Kansas City uniform.”

I know you're being facetious, but Tony did play his college ball in the Bay Area and will be loved by Raider fans because he's Hispanic.

You're avatar is creepy, you start terrible threads, and you're a dumbass.

He says Gonzo is a diva and would mess up the team's chemistry.

Um no.

We have like 1 tight end right now. We got lucky that Beard is pretty good. We need some tight end bodies. F Fasano and F Kelce.

CaliforniaChief 10-08-2013 10:18 AM

If TBG's source is correct, we may not have Kelce either. McGrath's been a great find, no doubt. And if Fasano returns soon, I'm confident they'll be adequate. But I don't want adequate. I want to beast.

I mush have missed it, what did TBG's source say?

CaliforniaChief 10-08-2013 10:44 AM

Basically that they are afraid that Kelce's done for the season.

We've also proved that the thug and mug doesn't work either. About the only thing we haven't proven is what does.

I don't quite get how he can be "Done for the season." I mean - WHEN did he ever start the season?

TEX 10-08-2013 01:33 PM

I know it's BS, but I'd take TG back in a SECOND. He would really help this team.

Yep imagine the crowd cheers if he ran out of the tunnel this week against the Faders- then scoring his first TD back as a Chief??

The faders wouldn't be able to double team Bowe either.

Well here's the end of this discussion...from Jay Glazer's Twitter Account:

I've seen a lot of tweets w rumors that Falcons should trade Tony Gonzalez, just got off the phone w him he absolutely does NOT want that. Wants to finish up in ATL

Garcia Bronco 10-08-2013 02:08 PM

Gee Tony...have you ever considered that you are a jinx?

seaofred 10-08-2013 03:14 PM

So, he left KC 3+ years ago to win a SB and he has what 1 playoff win in that time?
