Broncos DT Kevin Vickerson (hip) is out a minimum of six weeks.

Vickerson won't need surgery to repair the joint he dislocated in Sunday night's Week 12 loss at New England, but his season is still in jeopardy. It's a loss the Broncos should be able to overcome. Vickerson has graded out 61st among 70 qualifying nose/defensive tackles according to ProFootballFocus. He has 22 tackles and one sack through 11 games. Terrance Knighton, Malik Jackson, Sylvester Williams, and Mitch Unrein are going to have to pick up the slack.

If Moreno doesn't play, it won't matter that much. The drop off to Ball won't be huge or anything. The real battle there will be OL vs DL.

Sounds like we'll be getting DeVito back. I think he is a much bigger part of the defense than he's credited for. That said, if we're just down Houston, I feel much better than if we're without DeVito, Houston and Hali. Zombo can hold his own.

Moreno is more explosive and better in the passing game then anyone else we have. He has better hands and understands more about protection. Also every other RB we have has had fumbling issues.

No, I have...and I agree with you that he has great potential. But I don't think he's on Vickerson's level yet. He's still raw and thinking on his feet out there rather than reacting. He's got great lower body strength and some good quickness. Vickerson is a big loss for that defense, man. He's basically anchored their front 7 the entire year with the injuries they've had.

It must be nice to have that luxury :)

Broncos fan take: I hope we can protect Manning losing Ryan Clady. They have a good pass rush and it will be on the road in December - a tough place regardless. We'll need to keep doing the things we did last time and try and contain Charles and get some points.

This might be hard for you to understand, because your team has been somewhere between awful and mediocre since the moon landing, but I want to watch a good football game in addition to seeing the Broncos hopefully win.

And I don't HATE the Chiefs players just because they play on the other team. Tamba Hali is a good football player. Justin Houston is similar to Von Miller in many ways. I would give my right nut for Eric Berry to be a Bronco. They have never done anything to me or my family personally. I enjoy watching those guys play football. And this game will probably decide the division winner. I don't want to be gifted that just because of some unlikely foot twisting or Elbow injury.

I mean obviously I don't want Manning to get beat up and sacked all day, but if it's between that and you losing your players to injury, I would take the former, because at least we can try and mitigate it with good play and doing something and someone doesn't have to get hurt. Chiefs players are people and it sucks balls to not be able to help your team in a game because of an injury.
