At least he'll be back for the playoffs.

Cattapono to the rescue?

Fantastic news.

There was a time I thought Hali tore his Achilles and Houston would need season-ending surgery on his elbow.
Things are considerably brighter now, and THAT is something we can all be thankful for. |

Light at the end of the tunnel. Was tough seeing them both go down because i thought both were more serious. Knowing Houston will be ready for playoffs feels good.

Yeah, it was a reasonable conclusion to come to, considering how he went down and then couldn't put any weight at all on it.
It looked very bad. |

Good to hear for Houston. That looked painful. |
This is best case scenario. I thought Houston looked wiped out tired the last 2 weeks so hopefully he can recharge his batteries too.
Sucks for Sunday, but I expect some blitzes to mix things up. |
What horrible luck. Healthy all year and when we need it most our D is banged up...

Against Case Keenum, we did nothing until right at the very end, where a couple sacks sealed the game. We've been playing some really conservative schemes since then. I think it was calculated that we blitzed Manning only 6 times in Denver. Hopefully Sutton has an actual gameplan to disrupt Manning this time, because just sending the linemen and trying to cover isn't going to get it done. |
Better then the worst at least he will be back at some point this season

Sutton's saving our best stuff for the playoffs so we can turn that into a trap game for the Broncos! Brilliant!

Just have to have him ready for the WC playoff game.
|
Yeah. We still have 5 more games for Charles to get injured. Then we will be ****ed !

If we lose this one, they should let Houston rest until he is at full strength. Even if that means missing 4-5 games.

Team announces MRI results on Justin Houston's injured elbow are 'favorable', and Coach Reid will have a further update on Friday. #Chiefs |
He has already been ruled out for the Denver game, right?.

I completely dislocated a shoulder, they popped it back in (that hurt SOOOOO much worse,) they taped my arm to my stomach, I finished the match. I was in 8th grade. I wrestled the next week (no, I didn't do well.) If there is no tendon/ligament strains why can't they shoot him up and send him out?... |

Time for the freak, Allen Bailey, to step up. Sapelo Island...represent! Like to see him bat down some Manning passes in between sacks.

charger loss is on the D and the coaches |

I don't have any concerns about our defense at full strength being a playoff defense. Nor do I have illusions about how good a defense should be expected to be against Peyton manning. |
this team played like bambi last game. if they come out and play like that in arrowhead, they will be met with the loudest stadium of boos they have ever heard.
this is where your veteran leadership needs to show up. let's review the first drive at Denver; 1st play veteran Albert; false start 2nd play veteran Jamaal; 3 yd run play 3rd play veteran Bowe; dropped pass 4th play veteran Jamaal; dropped pass punt If that's all these vets have, they are toast. again. |

Achilles injuries are unmistakable. There is so much immediate pain that the victim flops to the ground looking like they got shot and they don't get up. They don't even try. They lay there writhing in pain, sometimes clutching their lower leg in shock. I never thought for a moment that Hali popped an Achilles.

The way he went down while having his foot planted and twisting without contact from the opposing linemen made me fear a lis franc. We got off easy. |

SHIT JUST GOT REAL. DIE, RAIDERS.
|
Hello 3rd&48ers!
|
It's time for raiders to feel the rage of a angry chiefs defense.
|
I hope he is kept out of the raiders game and only plays a limited (if any) role in the other games.
We NEED him at 109% come playoff time. |

I say Houston stays in KC this week and keeps healing. Let Zombo punch through Faiders' weak line. You know, because I am an NFL coach/team doctor/owner/GM. |
