2013 Kansas City Chiefs Season Recap

https://soundcloud.com/danisrael/201...-chiefs-season

This is pretty cool. Mitch Holthus is one of the best play by play guys in sports don't know why he gets so much hate on here. Fun Season.

BossChief 01-07-2014 10:14 PM

Season recap:

Chiefs go up by 28 points and then instead of killing the clock and winning the game, they call 28 pass attempts to only 10 runs.

Wallcrawler 01-07-2014 10:15 PM

If he would stick to the play by play and leave out the ****ing dumbass catch phrases and stupidass nicknames, he'd be my favorite play by play guy.

As it is, he's pretty good and then he says something so stupid or loaded with extra cheese and I cant help but to be embarrassed FOR him.

The human joystick.

Put the hammer down.

The sweet nectar.

Just stick to the play by play, Mitch.

I can't listen to him simply because of those very things... Especially when it's the fourth quarter, two minute warning and we're winning...

Buehler445 01-07-2014 10:22 PM

Mitch is the best. By 13 miles.

One of our hired men had a sirius radio. I spent an entire Sunday in the tractor listening to other teams' broadcasts after the Chiefs game. EVERYBODY else was unconscionably bad.

In the lay your cock out on the kitchen counter and beat it with a meat tenderizer sort of way, I suppose.

BossChief 01-07-2014 10:31 PM

Seriously. There was only about 20 minutes left when we were up 28.

R,r,r,p and prevent defense wins that game.

lcarus 01-07-2014 10:33 PM

Just watched the end of the playoff game, and Bowe was interfered with out the ass. That ****er was pushing him towards the sideline long before the ball got there.

lol this was a 6 win team that won 11 games. It was fun watching one of the best defenses historically the first 9 games. The offense will be fun next year.

CoMoChief 01-07-2014 10:40 PM

Started out 9-0 against underachieving teams who mostly had QB concerns (not to the fault of KC the schedule is what it is). Ended the season 2-6 against better opponents as their secondary was grossly exploited. Those 2 wins being against teams in which once again, had QB issues (OAK and WAS - RGIII was a concern because he was playing terrible and that offense was in absolute shambles and it all started with him and his play). And of course this marvelous season ended with one of (if not the worst) choke job in the history of the NFL playoffs.

You can spin this as much as you want, but this is exactly what happened this season.

I'm still ****ing pissed off about Sat's game. To dangle the ****in carrot in front of the horse n wagon that was "Chiefs Nation" and then to lose and collapse in historic fashion like they did, after 20 ****ing years of at best mediocre teams being fielded at 1 Arrowhead Dr. I don't know why I continue to stand by this team. I mean these are the types of losses that deplete a franchise's fanbase. They better start out fast again next season.

They went 2-14 and played alot of underachieving teams too.

The defense will improve when we get rid of Mike Brown.

They were also anchored down by the worst coaching staff and QB in the entire NFL.

Any team who has 6 Pro Bowlers, and thats not even counting the borderline guys OR guys who've made it before like Flowers, Bowe and Albert, should probably make the playoffs.

The only reason why they wouldn't make the postseason with all of that talent? Because the MOST important position on the field is/was not one of those players, instead he was a giant flaming dog turd with the back of the GM with an incompetent HC (Romeo)

kcxiv 01-08-2014 04:26 AM

Recap should just read. Fail.

Run, run, run, punt simply means that the Colts score the winning TD with no time on the clock.

This game was lost because Reid went conservative with the short passing game.

ChiefRocka 01-08-2014 06:18 AM

The game was truly a microcosm of our entire season.

That and Lewis/Robinson.

TEX 01-08-2014 09:18 AM

Mitch is the best in the business but Im so bent how it ended that I dont give a shit about all the so called "best" of 2013. Bottom line was it ended in HISTORIC TOTAL FAIL which in my book takes everything away from 2013 from a team accomplishment perspective. WTF did they REALLY accomplish? The 2nd largest COLLAPSE in PLAYOFF HISTORY? Which if you really think about it, one could argue that it was even worse than the '92 Oilers loss to Buffalo because the Chiefs won the turnover battle 3-1and STILL LOST the game. THAT FAIL trumps 11-5 against a soft schedule all day long.

OnTheWarpath15 01-08-2014 09:26 AM

Season Recap:

11-0 against shitty teams.

0-6 against good teams.

In other words, this team was the 8-8 team most of us thought they were and benefited from an easier than usual schedule and a run of 3rd string QB's.

This is EXACTLY the case. If Reid hands ME the playbook up 38-10, we WIN the damn game. You guys laugh if you want but I know enough to know you don't take your foot off the gas pedal till the race is won...

Agreed. Hope the front office sees it that way too. The Chiefs have been here before and if they stand pat, they go backwards. They need to stay busy this off season and UPGRADE where necessary.
