Don't like the numbering style or color but overall it's a fairly good kit.

I agree the Chiefs could use a face lift, but the helmet needs to stay the same.

Heck, it could do us some good the Buccaneers changed their outfit and then they won a Superbowl.

They do, but only because the Chargers refuse to wear powder blue full-time and the Rams and Bengals ditched their classic uniforms.

I've never seen someone use the term Bengals and best uniforms in the NFL in the same discussion, ever.

The all-red was pretty awesome, but the Chiefs look is dated and face it, we are not the Steelers with six Superbowls worth of history in our uniforms so changing is not that big of a deal.

I like the red pants thing we did vs Dallas. Been wanting them to do that for years.

Also like the carbon shading SEA has on their helmet. Wish the Chiefs had an alternative jersey.

Not sure I like the Seattle uniforms the best, but I agree that the Chiefs should update their uniforms. But I think it needs to be the helmet too.

I know there's a lot of history in the Chiefs uniforms, but their history isn't what they want so perhaps blowing-up all of it might inspire the Chiefs players.

At this point anything is worth a try.

I wouldn't be opposed to designs that used gold more heavily. The black jerseys I see in stores look awful - it's a fad from 10-15 years ago that wore out its welcome quickly back then.

That was also the world's ugliest stadium, I went there a couple times (for baseball) and that place was putrid.

The Clarks need some convincing. His daddy was a big fan of all white, so we will never get rid of that one.

Chiefs are great with red socks. Completely changes the whole look. I still like them regardless.

My favorite is the throwback Bills uni. That thing is ****ing sweet.

I love the Seahawks unis. I wish we'd make some updates, like all red with black stripes, numbers and hints of the gold. Then all black with red and gold hints. Helmets stay same.

Sorry, I hate the Seahawks uniform. That lime green looks like something from an awful College or XFL team. One of the least traditional looks out there.
Simplicity is where it's at. 2 colors work best with simple streamlines and basic logo's.
I've always liked the Colts, Bears, Browns and Steelers.

I've always liked the Chiefs but modifications could really bring it to the next level. For me, if they loose the yellow all together and take out the "KC" from the helmet, making it a solid arrowhead. Also, similar what the Giants have is a metallic finish on their blue helmet. Imagine the red metallic helmet with a solid white arrowhead? That would be bad ass IMO.

Columbia blue - which was the color of the Oilers, with
Scarlet Red. The league blocked our 1st choice because it was already claimed, and so Lamar selected Red and Gold. The Texans team color were Yellow and White, so while we are actually Red and Gold- I think it was a bit of a carryover from the Texans, as well as to differentiate from the 49ers color scheme.

That is simplicity at its best. You may be onto something...

I don't even know if we exactly match our colors to what they are officially- seems like our red is actually darker and our "gold" is actually lighter?

I agree with your take on Seattle's uniforms, but not at all with your take about removing the KC letters from the Chiefs logo. Thats the #1 thing that identifies the team. Why on earth would you change that???

And broncos and potentially Seahawks. We need a uniform refresh to symbolically bury the playoff woes on the last 20 years

Helmet Change
 

The only change I would make to the helmet would be to include the team name CHIEFS on the back edge of the helmet like most teams do. Ours is just a big blank space and it looks odd. The rest of the uniform is pretty cool and I never want the arrowhead changed.

... and I'm a KU fan & alum, and yes, we do have an official shade of yellow even though Crimson & Blue are our primary colors. If you remember, during the Larry Brown era they played in a special alternate yellow uniform.

I agree, metal flake would be nice. And I'd be fine with a major Logo change on the helmet too. Drop the "KC" part (Everybody knows where they're from) and alter the logo to something with the arrowhead and something that says "Indian Chief". I'd say a feather, but the Redskins already have that and I don't want the team to look like a copy-cat, but a full head dress might work. Something along the lines of:

I agree with Dayz. Our uniform needs to start from scratch... Our history in our "traditional" uniforms sucks... WE WON 1 SUPERBOWL and HAVEN'T won a playoff game in 20 years. We need to just start over, deff with the direction we're heading in with our re-amped team... Perfect time to do so.

Really wished we had a darker red... Although I'm an Iowa fan... The Gophers have a pretty uniforms... Their yellow alt doesn't look bad either.

Damn some of you are real idiots who think a uniform change has anything to do with going to the Super Bowl...Put Manning in KC's present uniforms and you guys would be all on board for keeping them.

Seattle uniforms suck!! The frickin arrows down the legs on the lime green is nasty. If anyone thinks their unforms are the best in the NFL you need to stop and take a look at what you wear on a daily basis brother because your taste blows!!

I like the classic look of ours. Some of the newer team unis look way overdone. Keep red pants as a home opener thing and white away pants for playoffs. Already perfect.
