For http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/...f-truth-review IGN gave it a 9/10 http://www.metacritic.com/game/plays...stick-of-truth Metacritic so far at an 86 overall. Just got it in the mail...heard it is outstanding. Turn Based RPG style, feels like watching the show |
I've seen game play and it looks awesome. The only downfall I've heard so far is that it's about 15 hours....If you do everything there is to do in it.
|
There is no multiplayer aspect to this game right?
If not I will wait til its $20 or less on a Steam Sale. |

15 hours....jfc

Wasn't the last of us about 15-16 hours to complete. The uncharted games took 8-10 hrs

ign, said most people will spend countless hours doing other stuff. The main problem is the four classes are different in name only. regardless, wait til price drop. |

I played for several hours today. Engaging story, but the game is nothing spectacular. You can wait.

I dislike turn based rpg's but I did pre-order this a year ago. Ill probably wait a few months to get it when the price drops and put my deposit towards watch dogs or something.
|
I've had a YLOD dead box for almost 6 months.
My return box should be here any day and I'm ****ing itching for a good game day. I'm a fan of TBRPGS, SP, and fart jokes... |
I was just thinking about the SP game on n64 this past week...
The cow launcher and Terrence and Philip (?) fart dolls were hilarious. |
I got 4-5 hours into this game yesterday, and it's been a blast. It's very accurate to the show in a ton of ways (and there is a lot of attention to detail) so it feels like you're sitting and watching a long episode of the show. The gameplay is like Paper Mario, which is a good thing in my eyes. The game was also decently difficult until I unlocked the DLC equipment (for pre-ordering), but the game is definitely catching back up with me since that stuff is low-level.
I'll agree that the different classes seem to be more or less the same, unfortunately; combat is mostly driven by the equipment you have. I'm not sure about paying $60, but I got the game and DLC together for under $50 and I'd say that it's been worth it so far. |
Was thinking about picking this up but $60? Nah.. I'll wait until it's 30-40 maybe.

I'll still snag it some day on a steam sale though, because it does look cool as hell. |
It actually got released finally?
The original studio that made the game went belly up just as it was almost finished, and they had to find a new developer to take over. Not sure what they kept or scrapped from the 1st studio, but it ended up pushing the game back by over a year. I was excited about it when it was supposed to be originally released, and then it kept getting pushed back again and again, so I pretty much forget about it. Glad to hear it's getting such positive reviews. |

I am loving this.
The QTE button mashing is bullshit. I would rather just take the damage and use a health pack than break my hand trying. |
I'm about 4-5 hours in...funny as hell and fun. Def gotta be a south park fan. Worth the purchase at 30 imo
|
Couldn't help myself. Picked it up last week after watching some of the gameplay online. It's an excellent game. I was pleasantly surprised.
I've beat the main storyline twice and I keep finding new stuff to do. When you get about midway thru, you can select Jimmy as your battle buddy. I highly suggest doing so... Some funny shit there. |
Is it or is it not worth the $60? I've watched Let's Play videos and it looks ****ing awesome...but $60 is a ton of money if there isn't a huge difference between the classes.

This is def the complete South Park experience. I'm still playing through. Anyone that has watched SP and enjoyed it over the years has to get it eventually. |

Its not as good as some games I have payed much less for. Its like going to see a south park movie when it first comes out. It will drop, and the movie will be just as good if you wait a bit. |
I've played the complete game three times now and I'm working on the fourth. It's really fricken funny. I wouldn't doubt it if they come out with some funny ass DLC in the next few months.

Mr. Slave level? IN!!!

I still really want this. But I'll wait. Stupid priorities.

I loved this game. Exactly like an extended episode. They make fun of some classic video game mechanics all throughout the game. The way they handle the silent protaganist (you) was hilarious, as well as Cartman's explanation for why they used a turn-based combat system.
Overall I only had two complaints. One was the length. Typically in these types of games you would see a playtime of over 20 hours. I think mine clocked in at 15 and that was with me hunting for just about every secret and collectible I could find. The other should be fixed very easily in a patch. There needs to be either a "Sell all junk" button OR the game needs to keep highlighting the top stack so that you don't have to click on it, click sell stack, and do that about 100 times whenever you go to a shop. It's not as big a deal in the console version since it does highlight the top stack each time, but on PC it blows. I understand they probably want you to read all the clever show references they came up with for the junk items in the game, but damn that shit is annoying. |
For another hour on Amazon it is down to 42.99

Its a great game, really funny. |

The sell all button is desperately needed. Plus maybe it was just me....but there hasn't been a time when I was worried about money. I've never had to make a decision like in other RPGs. |
Just got this today and put about 3 hours in. So far it's strange but fun.
Has there been any DLC since the release?... |
