The only word I can think of is "douche".

BlackHelicopters 03-07-2014 10:30 AM

Almost as crazy as Florida.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 03-07-2014 10:30 AM

School should kick him out if he's a student

blaise 03-07-2014 10:54 AM

I could see security missing him as he ran out, but they still weren't even near him after he ran all the way back up to his seat.

I heard on the radio this morning that he's being kicked out of school.

Predarat 03-07-2014 11:00 AM

That guy looks like the typical douchebag that will talk tough, provoke someone into a fight, and as soon as you punch the bastard he calls the cops and sues.

Guess he's not the Class of 2014 anymore.

Amnorix 03-07-2014 11:01 AM

Good lord. His parents should beat some sense into him. What a complete moron.

This kid seems like the type where the parents bought him new pair of Air Jordans once a month, every video game console know to man as soon as it was released, a nice Camero on his 16th birthday, sent him to private shools abd paid a full ride to college. Bet he has never worked a day in his life.

I'm still in favor of serving alcohol at college sporting events...

At least spell Camaro right.

htismaqe 03-07-2014 12:35 PM

Is he wearing a girls headband?

BlackHelicopters 03-07-2014 12:46 PM

MOAR alcohol

Eureka 03-07-2014 12:46 PM

The media is kinda making this incident bigger than it should be.

The reporters questions and concern seems like she just witnessed the fan punching players. Yes, the fan is an idiot but I'm sure this isn't the first time a fan has acted silly.

Guess it's something to talk about.

Ceej 03-07-2014 12:47 PM

The best part about this entire clip is the guy wearing a "PAWS" tshirt at the end of the Clip.

And I don't even like cats.

WilliamTheIrish 03-07-2014 12:49 PM

I'll bet James Naismith was turning over in his grave about this.

The guy ran out on the goddamn court. You don't see that everyday. What the hell else constitutes as news?

BlackHelicopters 03-07-2014 01:01 PM

Where was security?

htismaqe 03-07-2014 01:02 PM

Is he seriously wearing a girl's headband?

This is news. I was just mentioning how the reporter was acting during the interview with the coach.

Just my take.

Predarat 03-07-2014 01:15 PM

He should try that on Frank Martin. If he does, he will die.

BIG_DADDY 03-07-2014 02:41 PM

The whole what fans can get by with thing needs to be looked at. That may not be common but I will tell you what is, fans running on the court or field after a game and taunting the players that just lost, all up in their grill. That is common and complete crap.

Coach seemed to think it was a big deal. He said he'd never experienced anything like that in 22 years of coaching. I've been watching b-ball for more years than I care to remember and I've never seen a fan get in a coach's face like that. This goes beyond "acting silly". Safe to say that security protocols will be revamped at the Santa Barbara arena after this.

Why Not? 03-07-2014 02:54 PM

Douche bag. Lucky for him he didn't get pummeled. History reflects poorly on those who attack Hawaii!

BWillie 03-07-2014 04:10 PM

The white guy clearly called the other player who threw the ball the N-word. / KC Connection

blaise 03-07-2014 04:23 PM

I think it's kind of funny that the Hawaii coaches wear Hawaiian shirts.

stonedstooge 03-07-2014 04:32 PM

I had this happen when I was a public school administrator. A set of parents went rushing across the court after we lost a district game. The coach thought they were coming across the floor to congratulate him on a great season. I had to get in-between the mother and father and the coach and tell them to knock it off

Get with the program, Blaise: It's an "Aloha" shirt. As you were, you little menehune. :)

meh, It was really stupid, but I don't think he should be kicked out of school. He should however be kicked out of attending any school athletic event though.

He probably got it from Mark Sanchez.

Everyone wears them in Hawaii, they are standard business attire. No suits and ties here. We call them aloha shirts.

No. A fan who takes off his shirt and paints his face is acting silly. A fan who does what this guy did is a total ****ing douchebag who deserves to have his ass kicked. I think expelling him from the school was very appropriate.

Al Bundy 03-08-2014 08:28 AM

Yeah, you didn't see this idiot running out on the field during a Hawaii football game, one of those big Samoan's would have knocked the guys head off.

Mr. Laz 03-08-2014 10:19 AM

How does a single fan 'storm' the court?

I'm not sure if things have changed since or if it's different at bigger schools due to budgets maybe? But back as a freshman and sophomore at Missouri State in the early 00's I worked as an usher and basically that would've been all that would have been there to stop him is a fellow student doing work study and the real security detail is very small. So I can see how this can happen even though it shouldn't for obvious reasons.

That was a great job though paid to go to every sporting event and concert and do nothing but wear a vest and watch. Even made Lady Bears games tolerable.
