Thanks for your input Queen.

When did Razor Ramon start posting here?
|
Flattered. I really am.
Heard today they are continuing to push for Reid Bryant. Jackson is obviously hitting free agency. He's asked for a raise over what he made last year and the Chiefs aren't doing that. They'll let him shop his services and if Bryant signs elsewhere, they will re-engage if the price goes well below what he made last year. Finley would need to take a huge prove it deal, but with 5 teams interested as Boston Globe said today, he's going to get something decent. Finley was scared to go over the middle prior to this injury, don't see how it gets better post injury. Hope I get some info tomorrow. We are going nursey furniture shopping tomorrow and it'll probably be the death of me. |

Agreed on Finley, he was a finesse pussy scared of the big hit BEFORE the neck... after this, forget it, any "interest" we're showing is pure smoke.
|
TBG doesn't post anything I hadn't already seen while chugging Tyler Wilson at #1 overall cock / tomahawk

I wasn't aware I had that big of an impact on the emotional state of so many here. And this thread is for TBG...not me. It's kind of flattering. |
Any Sproles noise?

Supposedly Bryant's visiting the Jags.

Tyson Jackson wants a raise from last year?!? whaaaaat?! haha. didnt he make like a 7 million salary plus the restructure bonus of about 10 or 11 million? he thinks hes getting that?!?

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Jax overpaid a bit to get him, in fact, they'd be smart to do just that. |

@KCChiefs: Free agent outlook: Should the #Chiefs pursue cornerback Aqib Talib?

Question is ....can they afford him? Byrd and Talib would officially get me back on board with this Factory of Sadness. Still can't believe we lost that playoff game. Oh wait yes I can...we're Chiefs fans, we should expect these kind of results. |
Hell yeah lets overpay for not one but TWO primadonnas who will **** us in the long run!
There are ways to address the problems without paying top dollar at EVERY SINGLE AREA OF WEAKNESS. |
Can't see Talib being an option.

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-ci...tyson-jackson/ i thought he restructured from 14-17 down to 7 that got him to 11 with incentives. but even then he wants more than 7 per I find that crazy theres a team out there that does that |
I pulled my right testicle today. I little bit later I pulled the left one. Shortly thereafter I sealed the deal in a sock and all was well in this world.

He's not nearly as insider scoopish as RoyC with the Peyton Manning debacle -

I would find it hysterical if we had four gens as active CP'ers. |
Athan reporting chiefs have a serious offer on table to Albert, but that zone is the leader for him.
I'm calling bs on the chiefs offer |
Lol athan still reports stuff?
|

Haha snake oil salesmen... |
Quote:
I haven't heard one thing or another about Albert lately, but the chances of him back here are about less than 1% |
Terez Paylor thinks the Chiefs might target Mike Mitchell
|
Darnell Dockett tweeted last night that Albert was basically already signed as a Cardinal.
|
Hey Frank, I remember your posts about Sproles being in KC right before the tag deadline when SD tagged him at the last minute.
Any chance this regime has plans to try to sign him to replace McCluster? |
the ole fat scott racing for his FA priority #1 at midnight and not getting Sproles trick. oldest GM tactic in the book
|
Quote:
I'd hope they'd try, but I think Sproles right now is on the decline. |
Quote:
Byrd is out of the price range, but Mitchell is really ascending. He's good in coverage, good tackler and would be a huge upgrade over Lewis. |
Quote:
all the dudes from the slow market last year that played on 1 year prove it deals are about to cash in (The Geoff Schwartz, Mike Mitchells, Brent Grimes, etc) |
Quote:
Haynesworth, at the time, was a top target and if Washington didn't offer him a brinks truck, we would have been in that bidding until the end. He dodged a bullet there. |

Grimes was a stud corner coming off a big injury. Same idea, but different circumstances with him. Prior to that injury, he was going to get this kind of payday. |

what does the market look like for guys like Clemons/Mitchell? does 4-5 million per do it? Do they get more or less?

Colts invested a lot in Landry and have to pay Davis. I'd be shocked if they went the expensive FS route. Saints will have nothing to spend. |
Replace McCluster with Hester. Unless someone overpays which is possible.
|
Quote:
I think Mitchell will probably get around 4 for 16 so about 4 million a year. Chiefs could easily afford that. They have money to work with and can easily obtain more. What should be noted is that they have to be under the cap at the start of the league year, they can technically go over that cap to sign someone and then restructure someone after. |

Hali, Bowe and Berry need to help things if this team is gonna push it with this window we have. |
Did we ever get some of those contracts reworked?
|
Were at 9 something mil right now, is that before the rollover?
|
I just want a rock solid FS. Whomever it may be in free agency. TBG, any FA targets at WR?
And any interest in Arthur Jones? |
Quote:
We have 122 in salary commitments and he cap is 133 and we have a 2.45 rollover to account for. We should have 13.5 million in cap space, not 9.? |

He's been on my shortlist all offseason. |

So, who you guys think we're talking to today?

I've seen it at about 9.6 mil. I'm hoping to see extensions to Berry, Smith and Houston.
At the onset of free agency I'd like to see us sign a FS, and WR and/or DE |
Haven't been able to get an ounce of information. Sent 2 emails, heard nothing back.
I really couldn't get a gauge whether to expect some early activity in FA or not. |
Maybe they are quietly going for Byrd :)
