Heard today they are continuing to push for Reid Bryant.

Jackson is obviously hitting free agency. He's asked for a raise over what he made last year and the Chiefs aren't doing that. They'll let him shop his services and if Bryant signs elsewhere, they will re-engage if the price goes well below what he made last year.

Finley would need to take a huge prove it deal, but with 5 teams interested as Boston Globe said today, he's going to get something decent. Finley was scared to go over the middle prior to this injury, don't see how it gets better post injury.

I don't have any info on Sproles, but yes back before he was tagged, the Chiefs were going to offer him a long-term deal and it was thought he was very open it.

I'd hope they'd try, but I think Sproles right now is on the decline.

He'd be a great addition. Really great.

Byrd is out of the price range, but Mitchell is really ascending. He's good in coverage, good tackler and would be a huge upgrade over Lewis.

I think Byrd will end up in Philly.

Colts invested a lot in Landry and have to pay Davis. I'd be shocked if they went the expensive FS route.

Saints will have nothing to spend.

I saw a report the other day on Clemons that said he'd likely get around 3-4 mill a year on a short term deal.

I think Mitchell will probably get around 4 for 16 so about 4 million a year.

Chiefs could easily afford that.

They have money to work with and can easily obtain more.

What should be noted is that they have to be under the cap at the start of the league year, they can technically go over that cap to sign someone and then restructure someone after.

Unless Hester finds a position to contribute elsewhere, I can't see that happening unless he took a big time discount to play for Toub.

The last part is a big risk unless you have an ace in your back pocket.

That may not be accounting for what needs to be set aside to sign our rookies.

I've seen it at about 9.6 mil. I'm hoping to see extensions to Berry, Smith and Houston.

At the onset of free agency I'd like to see us sign a FS, and WR and/or DE

Haven't been able to get an ounce of information. Sent 2 emails, heard nothing back.

I really couldn't get a gauge whether to expect some early activity in FA or not.
