PornBurger: Burger Perverts Welcome
http://pornburgerme.files.wordpress....dy2.jpg?w=1900
The Dirdy Birdy Burger March 4, 2014 This is a classic case of a racy burger flown a-fowl: A duck confit burger, scandalously dressed in fried chicken hearts, smothered in fig catsup, and bedded on a creamy spread of chicken liver pâté. This is certainly one bird you won’t be bringing home to umami and daddy. http://pornburger.me/ |

I guess I am like Omaha in the would you thread. These don't do it for me. Especially the spam.

My Bloody Valentine looks interesting. I have never tried raw meat. A raw lamb heart patty?
|

I'm a much bigger fan of this site. You've got to go to it just for the voice-over description of each burger.

2, 3, 4, and 6 look good... three sounds very intriguing, like surf and turf in a bun.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. I'd try some of those.

**** that. Gimmie a bacon cheeseburger and call it a day.
Im not into foods that feel like they're trying too hard. |
So where is the regular burger? I'm not a fan of these weird burgers.

There has not been one moment in my life where I've been inclined to order the lung of an ox, the eye of a newt, the spleen of a shark, the testicle of a toad and the sphincter of a salmon on a golden toasted Focacia bread with goat cheese. Wendy's mother****ers. Can you say Wendy's? |

Several of the options' assemblies of ingredients seem schizophrenic at best - they're not exactly chocolate+peanut butter.
|
No offense to the OP Listo - of course these are all very interesting to view and read. :thumb:

A burger isn't the same without the pink sludge

I guess I am too vanilla I like lettuce tomato bacon cheese mayo and ketchup and I am in heaven. And prefer bison doesn't make me feel weighed down afterwards.

The sandwich buns look real good...WHY can't you buy good sandwich buns in the store? WHY?
Has anyone else noticed that the sandwich buns are small in the stores? No creativity and did I mention small? Who in the **** wants to make a small sandwich? Maybe sesame seed buns...nothing else. Anyone own a grocery store? I mean we have doctors, lawyers, dentists, NFL general managers, coaches on CP......anybody own a grocery store? |
I'd certainly try them all. I'd spread the buns open and lick between.
|
I'd try all of them.
Bailey's Range in St. Louis does some similar burgers, but not quite that far out there. They're fantastic. |
I'd kill every one of them
|
Two of the best burgers I've ever had were these types of odd ones.
One was at Swagger (now closed, naturally damnit). A burger patty cooked, then dipped in tempura batter and lightly fried. The topped with cheese and a wasabi cabbage /lettuce blend. Holy shit The other was at Blanc. I forget the name of it, and exactly what was in it but it had a fried over easy egg on top. |

Last week my 8 year old daughter and I started making our own. So easy. So good. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1013207/buns1.jpg Made another 32 today. Obviously, no low carb diets here. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1013207/buns2.jpg |
FYI photographers who jack up the contrast and color saturation in food photos should be shot.

|
Seems to be some really odd flavor combinations put together just for the oddness of it...

It's based off a Peter Reinhart recipe, I believe. Here's a blog with the details. Easy peasy. http://www.cooklikeachampionblog.com...amburger-buns/ |
Some of those aren't even burger-esque, they're a meal stacked on bread.
But then, I wasn't much a 'food touching' kid. Cottage cheese and pork and beans even being in the same vicinity of your plate still makes me throw up in my mouth a little. I love BBQ and love a good salad, but Famous Dave's plunks the meat in a divot in the middle of your salad and it pisses me off to no end. |
