Awesome. Someone is going to overpay for him.
|
Hopefully there isn't a stiff breeze to knock him over on the way to sign his new contract
|
YES!
|
This ought to be good... Lots of potential with this topic.

Devin Hester come on down.

Sproles would be my guess. He just fits to perfectly into an Andy Reid offense, add to that a Dave Toub ST?
Yes, please. |
I expect a good p.r. spin on this, just for old times' sake.
|
He was a good roleplayer. A solid piece to have around.
|
McFadden?
:hmmm: |

I didn't hate McCluster. Sproles will be significantly more money. Right?
|
What time does F/A begin?

Why do I feel he will end up in ATL?

McCluster is going to get some interest I'm sure. I wouldn't think Sproles, especially given his age, is going to get THAT much more money...
|
another great Fat Scott draft pick is a one and done contract. Shocked I am. Thank you Matt Millen, I mean Scott Pioli for your great drafting that brought us tons of talent.

Do you blow you blow your FA wad on an aging role-player?

A Sproles signing doesn't excite me. |
Equipment manager just cut his shoe budget in half. :) Thanks to DMC for some nice plays. The kick return vs. the Giants stands out. Hope he finds a good fit.

Patriots or Falcons is my guess.

Charles/Davis/Sproles would be a great set at a spot thats highly utilized in Reids offense. |
how about Paylor's other tweet
SIX teams interested in Akeem Jordan? Is that ****ing for real lol. |

Junior Hemingway stinks

I bet McCluster will be a Saint. They'll get rid of Moore and Sproyles and he'll fill the void. He never quite lived up to the hype. I was really hoping for the next Eric Metcalf. He was a decent player but not worth over paying. I'd say this definitely increases our chances of drafting a WR.

Better have the wellbye.gif on standby tomorrow

So we won't get to see Dex run straight up the middle against a stacked line on third and long anymore? Bummer-the dude was a battering ram. Like hitting the D in the face with a really stiff pillow. OUCH-that wears a team down as the game goes on.
|
well we are guaranteed to have at least 1 new (slot?) WR next year. It better not be Weston Dressler either lol
|
NO1CUR
|
You're gonna get Jason Avant and like it because that's basically all we can afford

Line both him and Charles up in the backfield, have one or both split out and then get the ball to whoever the defense doesn't key on. Rinse. Repeat. Profit. |
Source: Chiefs’ Dexter McCluster to sign elsewhere in free agency
March 10 BY TEREZ A. PAYLOR The Kansas City Star It appears Chiefs receiver Dexter McCluster’s run in Kansas City will soon end. A person with knowledge of the situation told The Star on Monday that McCluster, who is a free agent, will not return to the Chiefs. He has four or five interested teams and likely will sign elsewhere Tuesday night, when NFL free agency officially begins. A spokesman for the Chiefs had no comment. McCluster’s loss would leave a void at punt return and in the slot. He’s coming off the best year of his career, as he made the Pro Bowl due to his contributions on special teams. He returned 58 punts for 686 yards and two touchdowns in 2013, and also had the most productive season of his career as a receiver, catching 53 passes for 511 yards and two touchdowns, all career highs. The Chiefs currently have a handful of players with punt-return experience under contract for 2014, including running back Joe McKnight, who was signed in January, and former CFL star receiver Weston Dressler, who was signed in February. Good. May he never lose his majestic spin for whatever teams wants to pay him.

Best of luck to him.

 We can finally move on from him.

So maybe now we can draft a wideout?

Hold it right there. |
Nooooooooo, not McMidget!

Supposedly the 'Skins are the leading landing place for Sproles. That info is from a friend of mine. No source to cite. FWIW.

I know the Bucs are interested in McCluster and you know he would like to play close to his hometown largo, his parents still live there.
|
it's amazing the Bucs get FAs every year that want to play there and every year they are absolutely horrible record wise.
|
Does this mean we get Eric Decker now?

I'm bummed to lose him. I think he is better than he gets credit for. I would also overpay him. But I have a feeling some team will pay him something ridiculous. He is not worth top shelf slot rreceiver money. Not even close.

We can always find a McMidget. Toub's system is the key, not the return guy who profits from it.

Chiefs will sign Hester cheap

Time for Devon Wylie to shine!

I don't know how I feel about this. I was a supporter of his early in his career then hated him but last year he did a very good job. This team is going to have alot of holes to fill so hopefully they know what they are doing
|
Every time I saw him, I kept thinking of the Booty Sweat guy from Tropic Thunder:
http://media.screened.com/uploads/0/...uper_super.jpg See ya Dex. Good guy. Hope you have a great career. |
@1_ChiefsKingdom: Anyone wanna take a flier on Darren McFadden? Chiefs have expressed an interest in him.
Save our chiefs |

Like you said....hope they know what they are doing. |

He is a much better player than he gets credit for by his critics. Is he a top-shelf slot receiver? Of course not. But he turned into a solid player last year in Reid's system. |
