I liked the beat, but was waiting for more bass to hit, or something. Nice job.

Sorry the bass did not satisfy fully. I hope you still enjoyed it.

Lol, no I liked it. Be advised that I am no hip hop connoisseur by any means, though. Keep up the good work.

NewChief 03-14-2014 02:01 PM

I'll listen when I get on some headphones, which won't be until this weekend at some point.

Thanks for checking. I appreciate that.

Reminds me a bit of oldschool xzibit, cant make a good judgment about whether its something I would listen to on these tinny PC speakers at work. Lyricist is fine, but beat is lost. Is it on Spotify? Car stereo will make the big difference for me.

Mama Hip Rockets 03-14-2014 03:37 PM

The beat hits really hard if you've got some decent speakers. No, it's not on Spotify at this point. Just released the single today.

Yep, they do. I use the soundcloud app on Android all the time. It's free.

hometeam 03-14-2014 03:46 PM

Cool, man. Let me know what you think.

dmahurin 03-14-2014 11:08 PM

While the style isn't my cup of tea, it sounds well put together, and flows nicely.

Pants 03-14-2014 11:13 PM

You're extremely talented, man.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate that. Hope you took advantage of the free download. Keep an eye out for the new album, coming out next Friday.

Rausch 03-15-2014 08:28 AM

I pretty much despise Hip-hop and nerd-rap (read:white guys who think they're witty) didn't do much for me either.

This seems to be the right balance.

I like it.

And I don't like my mother...

DaveNull 03-15-2014 10:23 AM

Dope beat.

DaveNull 03-15-2014 10:29 AM

After listening to a few tracks, I think this reminds me of Jedi Mind Tricks more than anything.

Have you played around with anything in a major key?

Mr. Flopnuts 03-15-2014 10:38 AM

That was legit. Straight up, not ****in around. Legit as shit. You guys play clubs around Springtown?

Yessir. My man NomiS did the beat, and also rapped on the last verse. He's a very talented dude. I personally don't know anything about how to make beats or playing around with major keys. I can appreciate the Jedi Mind Tricks comparison, though. They've got some dope stuff.

Thanks, dude! The other guys on the song are from from Florida and California, so I haven't had a chance to do any shows with them, unfortunately. I haven't done much in terms of shows, in general. I've done a couple small shows, but I've had a hard time finding connections in Springfield with people who are into this kind of rap.

You can follow me on facebook/twitter/etc. from the soundcloud link and I'll definitely post any upcoming shows on there if any opportunities come up.

TambaBerry 03-15-2014 02:21 PM

I really liked that man, I am no hip hop expert but it seems like older songs that I used to listen to as a teenager.

In58men 03-15-2014 02:52 PM

That shit was legit.

Mama Hip Rockets 03-15-2014 02:55 PM

Thanks, dudes.

Simply Red 03-15-2014 03:11 PM

I think it's pretty darned good, I'd look into some London white label instrumentals for a unique 'beat' back-drop.

MTG#10 03-15-2014 03:11 PM

Which one are you

Haven't really heard a lot from them. I remember thinking what I heard was decent.

Shogun 03-15-2014 10:03 PM

I enjoyed that for the most part. I thought it could benefit overall from the bars being a little quicker, especially Poltergeist Jones, seemed kind of behind the beat. But I downloaded it, I'll listen to some more and be sure to post when the album is out. Nice track

Dug it for sure. Not exactly my usual style of hip hop, but I like it.

Very Chino XLish.

Pretty good song man. You slightly rush in a couple spots during the middle of your verses (where you're a little wordy, either drop a couple words or just hesitate a breath). Otherwise it's perfect.

KC native 03-17-2014 09:16 PM

Listened to a couple more of your songs. You jump the beat slightly when you try to fit a long sentence in during your rhymes.

Your style is similar to Chino XL and El-P. Tighten that timing up and it will sound more polished.
