I've been mum on the lack luster free agency action for the Chiefs, but this is pretty ****ing annoying.

The Houston Texans have signed former Chiefs DL Jerrell Powe, according to Tuesday’s NFL Transaction report. Reunites with Romeo Crennel.

Powe seemed to show up somehow when he was on the field.
Dunno how he didn't get a better opportunity....

I sure hope Eric Fisher is everything that Dorsey thought he was before last year's draft because he is obviously going to have to play every position on the line offense and defense, starter and backup every ****ing snap by the time next season rolls around.

I think Howard is more of a DE but with Bailey and Catapanno it looks like he could see more time if he could play some nose

I thought he could if he ever got a legit chance. Still think given a chance he could be legit.

I always felt the same way. I always figured he must be lazy at practice or something.

This is a big loss. I think this guy was even active most weeks.

I don't get what happened to lewis. Early on he looked like a player but this year was horrible. Just horrible.

looks like an old vet losing his legs but he's only been in the league 4 years. His shoulders are pretty banged up too. Might be why he doesn't tackle as well.

****, considering that he was never allowed to see the goddamn field, that's pretty impressive.

Also, Jaye Howard was our backup to Poe for large portions of last year (remember that Powe was cut from the team for a majority and only brought back the last 4-5 games) and on most gamedays, Reid listed him as an inactive. Howard will likely be the backup to Poe this year as well.

We're not any better or worse off on the DL with Powe gone. He just wasn't part of the plans.

Hes basically just another guy. Players like him come and go nearly every year. The bottom 10 players or so of the 53. No big loss...

It's a damn good thing there are a handful of quality NT prospects in the midrounds of this year's draft.

Because we now only have one NT on the entire roster.
