Lets split the series today! I have been to two games this season, both of which were started by Chen, and both of which the Royals won. So this is the perfect game for me to start my first game thread of the season.

Chen - 1-1, 6.60 ERA
Kluber - 1-2, 5.40 ERA

I just don't understand hitting Hosmer 2 in this lineup configuration when both Infante and Aoki are in the lineup. Why switch that up now?

I have said all year, this would be my standard lineup:

1) Aoki
2) Hosmer
3) Butler
4) Gordon
5) Perez
6) Infante
7) Moustakas
8) Cain/Dyson
9) Escobar

Though if Infante continues to OBP in the .340 range, the standard lineup Yost has used works out just fine.

I don't have a good feeling about this one. Chen on the mound. Strange lineup. Early start time.

Why not switch Hosmer and Gordon there? Doesnt Hosmer (Potentially) have more pop?

He is faster. He was doggin' it. On the replay you could tell he was not running full speed cause he thought it was through the hole. He started running when he saw the shortstop dive.

At this point he's a great situational bullpen guy. He has no place in the starting rotation with his 80 mph fastball.

I like firefox for the stream. I only get one popup and the video adds don't show up on the page.

Yost talking strategy at the plate between innings - "I want you to go up on the first pitch, show bunt, and take a strike anyway."

You can work around the popups by clicking the right X to exit them.

Tips:

Always click the BLUE X or text. This should close the popup.

In some cases, the Blue X is extremely tiny.

Also, minimize chat and stop the autoplay adds.

Those things should all help.

And it would be nice if we could get a hit out of the infield before the seventh inning. More than one, that is.

We're the Big 10 basketball of MLB.

A perfect game would have 9. We've had extra-inning perfect games before, so I imagine the single-game record is higher than 9.

The ineptitude of both teams has this game rolling at a pretty quick clip.
