Robin Williams Dead
RIP
|
|
He's dead.
Suspected suicide. |
Tony Stewart ran him over with a sprint car.
|
BBC reporting it as well. WTF.
|
All the sites I'm reading it on are shady sites. Not very reputable.
|
Earlier today, I heard that Hulk Hogan was dead, but it was a hoax. Could he one of those hoax-happy days.
|
Not a hoax. Here's the Sheriff's Office press release: http://www.sfgate.com/file/877/877-M...20Williams.pdf
|
Yeah, he died today in what looks to be a suicide. What a tremendous career he had, depression sucks.
|
I just read the same thing on fb...still awaiting a real source to confirm...alrighty them confirmed...
|
Dead poet;
Dead career; Must be dead. Edit: looks real, I thought it was a hoax. R.I.P. |

I had a job at a video rental store when I was 16. There was only one question on the application. "How many movies with Robin Williams can you name?"
So sad to go out so sad. |

Several California TV stations are reporting it now. |
It's playing on CNN. Press releases from the family and everything.
|
Dang it.
|
So damn sad, hoping its fake but looking very real. RIP Robin.
|
I was really hoping that this was a hoax.
|
R.I.P John Goodman & Robin Williams.
|
There was this movie I watched starring him a few months ago where his son in the movie committed suicide... I think it was called "The World's Greatest Dad." Anyways, kind of ironic now.
|
Wow it's breaking all over the place. Saw it right at the end of the 5:30 news.
|
Ugh.... Terrible news! Wow, what a loss!

The Marin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of actor/comedian Robin Williams in Tiburon, Calif., north of San Francisco.
According to a press release issued by the sheriff's office, Williams was found unconscious and not breathing inside his home in Tiburon around noon local time, and was pronounced dead shortly after. The press release identified him as as Robin McLaurin Williams, 63. The coronor suspects the death was "a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made. A forensic examination is currently scheduled for Tuesday, the press release said. Williams rep confirmed the death to E News. "Robin Williams passed away this morning," his rep confirmed to E! News. "He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time." |

Jesus Christ, insane...even though I know he was battling depression but NEVER saw this coming.
|
Holy crap, that sucks!
Nanu, nanu, Robin. |
Sorry to hear this, he was one funny dude.
|
Rest in peace, Mr. Williams. You made millions laugh, and that's a pretty good legacy.
Housekeeping note: Someone might want to remove the question mark from the title now. |
:(
|
This really is sad.
|
This explains why he hadn't been acting much.
So young... :( |
Damn
|
RIP, wouldn't have thought he would go out like that.
|
*sigh*
....this ruined my day. Damnit. |

He is one of the best of all time in my book. Not too many types of characters he couldn't play. Seriously underappreciated actor.
|
RIP. Grew up watching this guy.

Sarah Michelle Gellar kills another career.
|
He lived near me...I have seen him in the 'wild' a couple times.....
The weird thing is that I was just reading a couple days ago about his estate/ranch in Napa (apparently not his full time home) was up for sale for a mere 30 Million bucks.... I was wondering why he might be selling...not that it is necessarily connected but anyway... Sad |
Mrs. Doubtfire 2 was going to come out next year, too.

LOS ANGELES, CA - JULY 29: Robin Williams attends the CW, CBS And Showtime 2013 Summer TCA Party on July 29, 2013 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Jason Kempin/Getty Images) Beloved actor Robin Williams was found dead on Monday, police reported. He was 63. The apparent cause of death was suicide, authorities said. According to his publicist, Williams had been battling severe depression. Williams was best known for his starring roles in classic comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire and Jumanji. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting. He rose to fame while playing Mork the alien in the TV show Mork & Mindy, a Happy Days spinoff. Most recently, Williams had starred in the new CBS sitcom 'The Crazy Ones.' It was cancelled after just one season. Susan Schneider, the actor's wife, released the following statement to the New York Times' Dave Itzkoff: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one if its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope that the focus will not be on Robin's death but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions." |
It is kind of weird how someone so funny could be so sad.
|
Sad to see that depression won this battle.
****. :( |
Well, that stinks.
He was such a phenom in my teenage years. He was the biggest comic presence in America for a while, and deservedly so. He mellowed a lot with age, but he burst onto the national stage like few ever have. |

I've heard Jim Carey takes a two week vacation to isolate himself & not be found just to cry. Funny on the outside hurting on the inside. |

It's not his fault.
It's not his fault. It's not his fault. That sucks. RIP Robin, you had a great career and will be missed. |
Mrs. Doubtfire was my fav movie of his. RIP

Mork and Egon's death are probably the first two celebrity deaths to hit me kinda hard. I grew up watching both.
|
He used to be funny but his schtick got old.

I guess all that humor could be compensating for a whole lot of hurt. |
Cause of death is said to be asphyxiation

The thing about depression is whenever you feel bad pick up a ****ing phone or call someone to come over and talk! :( this sucks bad. RIP Robin!

RIP funny man.
|
|
There won't ever be another like him. Wow, I'm just stunned...

What sucks is almost all of my fav childhood comedians have passed away now and the ones that are alive are older and not funny anymore like Eddie Murphy/Adam Sandler.
|
Wow. Seems pretty random.

I got to do improv with him a few years ago. He was genuinely warm and kind to everybody and was ****ing hilarious.
One of the coolest nights of my life. Just... suck. |
Damn, watching Aladdin now is going to be a bit upsetting.. and Hook, just wow. What a legend, I wish he could of just waited and let nature take care of it but RIP.
What's also damn depressing is that he was good friends with Christopher Reeve, and that guy basically lived like a vegetable for years just to cling to life, and Robin takes his own. So sad. |
