Westboro Baptist Church Will Picket Robin Williams’ Funeral
The Huffington Post has confirmed that the Westboro Baptist Church will picket Robin Williams’ funeral later this week.
While others worldwide gather to pay their respect to Williams, the WBC has labelled Williams a “f*g pimp” for his roles as a gay club owner in The Birdcage and for his cross-dressing role in Mrs. Doubtfire. What adds fuel to the fire is that the WBC has already tried to disrupt vigils for Williams in San Francisco. Williams died Monday of asphyxiation at the age of 63. He leaves behind a wife, Susan Schneider, and three children, Cody, 22, Zelda, 25, and Zach, 31. He also leaves behind millions of adoring, yet confused fans. Shortly after his death, his wife did disclose that he was in the beginning stages of Parkinsons’ disease. The WBC has gone to its Twitter page to gather support for this cause, as well as its continued “God Hates The Media” campaign. One tweet announces they will “preach in lawful proximity to Robin Williams’ funeral — to warn the living: repent or likewise perish!!” Another posted @Robinwilliams decided to use his considerable talent to push filthy life styles, flagrant debauchery, and hedonism! He knew the toll!” Another church tweet announced “Since his early days in San Francisco @Robinwilliams mocked God, every semblance of righteousness encouraged proud Sinners died unrepentant.” The Westboro Baptist Church is using Twitter and Reddit against Facebook, Apple, and Google. The group announced it was picketing the headquarters of social media sites Pinterest, Facebook, Reddit, and Instagram as part of the campaign. The WBC has accused Instagram of having a history of removing pictures and even accounts when they contain too many “Bible words,” and claimed Facebook “utilizes every opportunity to aggressively publish and promote f*g propaganda.” “Westboro Baptist Church will use the Reddit platform, which is usually filled with vanity, science falsely so-called, and other sundry lies; to instead preach righteousness & spread the gospel,” the group said in a news release. The WBC has picketed soldiers’ funerals, and pushed their anti-gay agenda for many years now. This would be one of the first times the WBC will try to make its presence known at a funeral for a person of this magnitude. The WBC will have two opportunities to picket. There will be a small, intimate funeral for family and friends, time and place have not been announced. The second will be a public memorial, which is still in the planning stages. http://www.inquisitr.com/1417410/bre...liams-funeral/ |

Wish WBC would end the same way as the cult in Waco Texas ended. Badly.
|
I hate that this is what our city is known for.
|
I'm glad they all love God so much. Because if I had the opportunity I'd arrange an immediate meeting for them all.
|
I am so sick of these fothermuckers.

Easier said than done, but just ignore them. Attention whores that get no attention fade away. They are irrelevant...
|
I'll be kind of embarrassed if these guys don't picket my funeral.
|
I thought they died too

Please let them surrender to Ferguson police.

Congrats on giving them more publicity...

I long for the day when they protest the wrong funeral and one of them gets killed. Preferably beaten to death.
|
People stopped giving a **** about them. Im sure they're hopping that picketing a famous actor's funeral will give them the attention they so desperately crave.
They should go picket Lindsay Lohen's rehab clinic. |

As long as the invisible man in the sky tells you its OK because someone deserved to die for being gay. |
Don't deflect Dayze. You said you wished for another persons death. You're a sick bitch if you really wish death on others. I'll assume you don't ad were just being flippant.

Being OK with a westboro death=bad
Being OK with a childs father being killed because god hates bundle of stickss=reasonable. |

No big surprise here.
|
Fair enough. That's an acceptable delineation. The whole "kill people we don't agree with" thingy doesn't work for America. Fortunately.

WBC just isn't the same without Freddo.
Now, if you see them on the street, it's like going to a casino lounge to see CCR with no John Fogerty. |
If Westboro protests your funeral you know you've lived a pretty good life.

That is a terrible line of reasoning. |
I can't stand the Kansas bashing whenever Westboro pops up in the news, as if Phelps was from Kansas, not Mississippi.

Anything for publicity. What a bunch of whores.

I was like WTF? And then, of course, I remembered what these sibling ****ers' schtick is. |
I am proud to say that have I slung dirt and rocks from under the tire of Chevy all over a crowd of them to the extent of having to brush themselves off and cough it up out of their lungs.

Tooge is reacting to their hatred, displayed by WBC where it isn't warranted or justified (to most people). |
Death to everyone! Especially the Irish.
|
Oops, sorry, Dayze.
I get those two mixed up for some reason. |
And maybe I didn't type out my initial response very well. I don't "wish" death on anyone in the literal sense but I sure a **** won't waste any energy if one of these mentally ill protestors happen to try to prove a point at the wrong time and it went south. You protest a funeral of a veteran killed in combat, you take our chances and get whatever you get (if anything).

Their hearts are black with hate, such a disgusting group of people.

Like I said, he's reacting to them and they choose to do what they do. I don't see it as being on the same level at all. No more than me hoping that a violent killer gets executed and being on the same level as the killer. |

And really - what should the punishment be for hurting someone's feelings? Prison time? Torture and execution? |

No need to answer nancy boy, you give the orders not follow them. amiright? I'd be willing to bet you've never taken a shot to the dome or stepped on a mat. Please stick to the debate club. |
That. Thanks Donger.

I'm not saying I think they should be beaten, tortured, locked up... I just think the world would be a better place without them. Take that for what you will. |

if you said re: the Ferguson rioters: "the world would be a better place without them", I wonder how people would take such a comment. (I don't really, since my point was of course rhetorical)

Of course they did.

This is why I'm non-religious. |
