Judging by the rain chance, I highly doubt this one gets in. Maybe we'll get lucky.

Rain doesn't look THAT serious, and this is the Royals' last game with Minnesota this year.

I'm seeing 30 percent chance at 7, 25 percent at 8, and 10 percent at 9. They'll get this one in. especially with it being such a short flight from Minneapolis to KC.

Lorenzo Cain has played 1 game of the last 5.

Whoops. Had my days mixed up. They're traveling to Colorado tonight, which is a longer flight. Was thinking they were off tomorrow rather than Thursday.

That's less ideal. If the game is delayed a few hours and ends at midnight, they're not wheels up until about 1:30 AM at the earliest. Arrive in Denver around 3:30 local time (picking up an hour). Probably not at the hotel and ready to go until 4:30, best case.

We've got a pretty favorable matchup tonight, and even if the makeup game was in KC, this team has played better on the road this season.

Plus, I selfishly don't want a night without Royals baseball.

Vernier just said on 610 that it's supposed to start pouring for about an hour or so. After that there should be a bit of a window to try and fit it in.
Only mutual off day left with Twins is September 18th, which is in the middle of a Royals homestand. Vern said the game could possibly be made up at the very end of the season.

definitely wasn't the smartest move to try and take 3rd but it still took an absolute cannon/perfect throw to get him out there

and again...we all saw the stat that Al posted in the repository. Willingham is literally the key addition this team needed. He's the guy that puts us over the top IMO.
