Wow I thought before I looked at the list I would think Smiff was better than all but 11 or so QBs. I found 19 quarterbacks that I would rather the Chiefs have than Smiff. And I said no to Eli Manning and Dalton, which are close.

I pretty much just answered who I'd rather have than Alex. It really wasn't as many as I thought it would be.

And that infuriates me because it means we have a decidely below average QB we just committed to.

I agree with all of them except Geno Smith, Carson Palmer, and Eli Manning. Eli Manning is one of the most overrated QBs of all time. I don't care how many superbowls he has. The guy has one of the worst QB ratings of active QB's that have started at least two full seasons. He's never recorded a season w/ a QB Rating over 92.

Only a handful that are clearly better. The rest, really depends on scheme or if you are talking about building a team through youth and potential.

Most of those Qb's have nver taken a team as far as Smith or any farther.

Just because you think Dalton is better than Smith or Geno, or Stafford, Cutler, or Romo for that matter, doesn't make it true.

I dont care if they threw for 5000 yards, they arent winners. They haven't proven a damn thing.

There's no way in hell I would want Romo, Palmer, Roethlisberger, Geno, or Foles over Alex. I would certainly debate Eli, Flacco, Cutler and Dalton.

People have trouble separating his career at Baylor from being the 2nd best QB on the roster in Washington.

Yea I like Smith but I know he is nothing special..but the way people on here bitch and moan constantly is stupid..why throw a fit..no matter what QB we have isn't going to do shit with this Oline..with these receivers..defense won't stop any team with a receiving group in the top 15..I want the team to do good but have no unreal expectations..hell I think we go 4-12 this year

14 for me. Left Eli's current version, Dalton, Cutler and Stafford off the list. You could argue either way on all four of those guys but stafford has to be one of the stupidest QBs in the league. Has a Favresque arm and even worse decision making and game management.

That's my stance. Ben is done. That's why I didn't pick him. I see him falling apart more and more every year.

Alex Smith is currently #3 in Win% over the past three NFL seasons. I think he's as good as anybody if you want to win just one game. Numbers back that up.

Brees is 35. Manning is 38. Brady is 37. Rivers is a petulant crybaby who can't carry a team. Cutler, Stafford and Romo are just as likely to throw you out of a game than win it for you and have a total of two career playoff wins between them. Kaepernick and Wilson were downright horrible in passing the ball last season.

Newton and Luck are the only two guys I'd take over Smith right here, right now in terms of giving a QB a big money, four year deal.
