Ratings in KC tomorrow? Ill put the over at a 50
|
I hope Yost has them go into at bats 'patient' they need to get this guy's pitch count up there. Good pitchers are beaten all of the time. I see no reason this couldn't be a game like that regarding Bum.
|
In. very in.
|
Doubt he does it, but I'm curious to see if Yost runs Aoki out there to try and steal a couple ABs against Bumgarner.
|
This better be a win alnorth. I mean this gots to be a win!
|
He should play aoki
|
In. But I'll probably be listening via TuneIn again tomorrow.
|
Good luck guys.
I hate the Giants. |

That Right Field pasture ought to be entertaining for that sawed off JACKASS. Plus the idiotic MLB commentators seem to think Butler starts at 1st base with his average vs Baumgarner! Hos smacked him well in KC, hits just didn't fall in and why would Ned surrender his D at 1st base ? |
In.
Out. |

I'm less confident about Aoki vs Dyson, but I think he'll stay with his defense. |
You gave it your best shot but they are just too tough. It will take a miracle.

Miracle? It's 2-2 butthole
|
We'd need a miracle if we were St. Louis.

Go Chiefs Go Royals.
Glad Chiefs aren't playing Broncos or Raiders because that would be too much tension to handle. |

In! They squared balls up game one. Do it again and the turn into hits this time. I'm more concerned about getting 5 good in innings from Shields.
|
2-2 you're doing well. Get em game 5.
|
Things I'm hopeful about:
1) Shields is better on the road. 2) We were getting hits on Bumgarner. We just need to string some together. 3) Even if we lose, we take 2 in KC and can still win this thing. |
I hope we win this thing but doubt has crept in to my mind after tonight
|
God damn it, it's perfect. Everyone chuckling at the "Big Game" name. He's gonna take that mound. He's gonna grab that ball.
AND HE'S GONNA SHOVE IT UP BUMGARNER'S ASS. KILL JAMES KILL |
This game will def define Shields legacy in kc....def has not looked good in the playoffs

I have no idea why anyone thinks that Aoki should start.
He's a defensive liability, and he has been a liability at the plate. |
Wouldn't be surprised if we lose today and win Tuesday.. Game 7 in KC would be insane.

Terrible feeling, I have. But in either way. ****. |

I thought, however, that Aoki should have been bunting. |

****ing Yost. |
No. He should have taken a strike. And Dyson should have been stealing before Aoki got 2 strikes.
That was awful. |
Yeah, the decision on starting Aoki or Dyson is a tough one for me.
On one hand, you're already playing with a dead spot in the lineup at 9, so putting Dyson in at 8 against a LHP essentially gives you two dead spots. Then again, the Giants put the ball in play, and have hit a ton of tough balls to RF. I have zero confidence in Aoki playing RF. Add to that Aoki's recent woes at the plate, and I think I lean towards Dyson. Let me add that if you go to Aoki, I bat him 8th and let Gordon stay 2nd. |
He should have either bunted or Dyson should have stolen. The steal was preferable (Petit gave up 15/18 SB's), but the bunt was the next right play.
There's no way a swing without a steal was a good idea. |
he should have taken 2nd and then Aoki should have bunted
|
In for the win. They get this one, its over IMO.
|
In but I sure don't have any positive feeling going into this game. Kind of a Chiefs feeling really.
|
I'll obviously feel a lot better if we win this one - but by no means is it over if we lose.
We need Shields to step up and kick some ass tonight. |
Shields needs to perform...
Has too.. |
If we lose this game, then the pure odds (if you assume every game is a coin flip) of winning the world series is 1 in 4. If we win, its 3 in 4.
So yeah, this game means a lot. |

Ok, pay attention to Joe Buck tonight - he never shuts up his mouth. I wish something would happen to him.

Good thing the players aren't nearly as fickle about each game. |

MadBum's a different guy at home. 4+ERA at home puts him in the mortal human category.
Shields needs to step up and get some redemption for that ****ing terrible performance in game one. Whatever his issues were/are, they need to be gone and he needs to be locked in. Its not over if we lose, but it will be a helluva lot better if we win. |

Dude's the biggest ball gargler for the Giants. ANY play that gets made for the Giants, his decibel level raises considerably and you can tell hes just drenching the front of his pants with semen. Royals make a great play, and he's casually calling it in a ho-hum manner, wooden as **** and going through the motions. Dude's a Giants fan calling the game, you can hear it pouring out of his **** mouth anything even remotely positive happens for the Giants. |

edit: also, the home field and the story makes a difference. In Kauffman stadium when the Royals were down a game, and the story was can KC come back, he was all over that. Now the story was the Giants are in a hole at home, can they come back. He doesn't root for teams, he roots for the story and a long series. |
Well I'll be back in the threads tonight.
|
If KC can win this, they'll win the world series.
|
When the Giants lost the first game at home we all knew it was coming back to KC. What we don't know yet is whether KC or the Giants will come back having to sweep in KC. Don't want to be a 'Downer' here but emotionally prepare yourself ahead of time for tonight. Giants were hungrier last night taking advantage of the atrocious pitching and lack of intensity by the Royals once the Royals got up 4-1 thinking they could just cruise to the 7th. Royals found out differently and this is where the Giant experience of being in recent previous WS has paid off by not panicking when it was 4-1. My prediction will be the Royals will have to sweep at home. No way the Giants want to come back to KC having to sweep.
With Shields pitching and the Giants already handing this guy's arse to him in the first game in KC and now at home after last night's shellacking. Giant confidence is riding high. Stating the obvious I realize but just emotionally prepare yourself for tonight is all I am saying.:thumb: |
I've had this one marked as a loss all along. Shields is just shit right now. Why last night bummed me out so much. Expect that we'll need to win 2 at home.

Now the Royals need to take this energy that the Chiefs just gave them and beat the Giants tonight! |

In his last 9 outings in NL parks, James Shields is 7-0 w/a 2.96 ERA after going 4-4 w/a 5.11 ERA in his first 10 such outings. #WorldSeries
