Wayne Static dead
RIP to frontman Wayne Static of Static-X
|
oh shi
|
I liked Static-X
|
Drugs are bad
|
He put on a great show here in Springfield this spring on the Wisconsin Death Trip Anniversary Tour. RIP
|
He pushed it.
|
Those who push the limits find that sometimes the limits push back. RIP.
|
I saw em when I was 14 or 15years old at the Blue Note in Columbia, before the first CD release. Friends and I got to chat with him and Koichi after the show, and they turned us onto to this two song mix tape they where giving out for free. A band who was just just getting started.. some crazy band called Slipknot~
RIP. <iframe width="1280" height="750" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/oj_JICtUe5w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Never heard of him.
|
Damn... Saw him several times, fantastic live. .
|
Didn't know he was still alive.

LOL at least we know how to play.
Screaming about angsty bullshit in your 40s is for the LCD crowd. I ain't mad at you if you like Static X. Somebody bought (hed) PE. Someone still buys Nickleback. |

Never herd of the man.
Never the less RIP |
RIP Wayne Static. Wisconsin Death Trip was a good album at the time.
|
My discovery of Static X was the only good thing to come out of this terribly disappointing game.

Maybe we should start our own thread, and leave this one to those who want to wish Wayne well. |

RIP Wayne Static. |
I was dragged to a Static-X concert once and what a zoo full of idiots. Dude was like "see how the other half lives". I was like get me the hell out of here before one of these ****s thinks he wants to slam dance into me and I clock his ass. And the lead screamer with the bag over his or her head was awful. Sorry the dude is dead but that his idea of music sucked.

Maybe you should of done that in the first place. Never understood people going into threads on peoples death only to slam their music/art. Says a lot about the poster. |
Never heard of him/them.
That being said, it is clear that some of our CP brethren liked him, so, RIP. |
Corrosive, tainted by my sin, I'm spilling blood and I can't hardly contain it! Corrosive, hallowing the hand, stiffened, I eat away, EAT, eat into the surface!!!!! Yeah, you push it!
Love that song. RIP Mr. Static. |

What happened did he overdose on the 'BOUNCE' dryer sheets ?;)
|
This sucks. Good heavy music.
|
I liked their early stuff. Very Ministry influenced.
Rumor is once he met his porn star wife, he developed a taste for speedballs. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the reason. He looked pretty bad in some of the newer videos he put out. |
Wasn't he in Certain Distant Suns? They were a Chicago based band in the mid - late 80's.

He lived and died the way he wanted to, which is what he sang about. Sorry people don't realize that. |

Their early albums were awesome. One of my favorite bands as a teen.

Not slamming him huh? Don't get me wrong I couldn't pick out a static X song if someone was playing it but I do know this..don't go into a death thread about a musician and slam his music (reread your post). Especially if the guy has sold 1,000,000 more albums then the offending poster. I could only hope that someone shows up at your funeral and in the eulogy and says "You didn't miss anything.". Which from your posting abilities im guessing it is a safe bet. There is just to much of this bullshit when it comes to death reports. Like your specific opinion is needed. Now you got me doing the same so I would like to ends this with a big FU! |
Wtf no way
|
I cant believe he was almost 50. Crazy, I thought he was maybe 40-42 at the most.

And people who marry porn stars and inject speedballs, well...I have very little sympathy for him. the only thing different from him and any other junkie was some people liked his music. I'm a big Grateful Dead fan...but Jerry was a junkie who wouldn't stop doing dope or eating Häagen-Dazs and chili dogs, so it's not like his death was a shock either. Sorry. Just the truth. Doesn't matter how many records a junkie sells...they're still a junkie. |
