Seahawks fans worried about us?

Yup, according to this thread...

"Alex Smith has always had our number."

Interesting.

TripleThreat 11-10-2014 12:15 PM

Hawks always been scared of Smith since 2011, nothings changed. They seen him twice a year and know that its always a dog fight with this kid.

"Their O is rather base...but they play it with discipline (and very well). That will be key for our D as well...playing disciplined football, staying true to our assignments and lanes while watching for the occasional deep shot, more designed to keep us honest than anything else. "

Smith scares me a bit, not because of playmaking ability, but he is the exact kind of qb that could dink and dunk us to death underneath.
They know our offense like they watch us every week lol WCO style

"Deep shot" ROFL

Mr. Flopnuts 11-10-2014 12:28 PM

 Little do they know that we never go deep.

Frosty 11-10-2014 12:29 PM

I like all the "They lost to the Titans at home. We got this." posts.

sedated 11-10-2014 12:33 PM

From scanning the first page, they certainly do not seem too confident. But a lot of that seems to be Arrowhead lore.

Red Dawg 11-10-2014 12:37 PM

No way we blow them out. Wilson has been killing teams with his legs and that will be the hard part of thier offense to stop. Their offensive weapons are not game breakers by any means. Stop the run and contain Wilson and we will win.

Jimmya 11-10-2014 12:40 PM

It all starts with us limiting Lynch. If we limit him, we will be in the game and can win it.

Dave Lane 11-10-2014 12:42 PM

This one is gonna be close. If we were in their house maybe it would give them a slight lean. Seahawks have really been out of kilter all year not sure what changed but they are no longer a really tough team.

Dayze 11-10-2014 12:43 PM

Personally, I think Lynch is going to kill us.

I'm not saying it just to be negative etc; he will absolutely destroy us if we don't get our shit together.

Iowanian 11-10-2014 12:48 PM

The Chiefs offense is like little peckered feller....they're never going deep.

Seattle will be able to run the ball on the Chiefs, but they don't have a wide open passing game that is beyond what this D can handle.

I think the strengths of the Seattle secondary and THE Richard Sherman are offset by the Chiefs lack of dependence on big WR production. They'll have to throw to Bowe to keep them honest, but IMO this week becomes the #87 show.

He will. We struggle with any type of back and he's the worst kind because he takes at least two guys to tackle him on every carry. If our guys aren't flying to the ball ready for war he'll have his way with us.

And the threat of Wilson running on the read option really puts us 1 man down. I hope we get our scrape exchange game down in practice this week.

they seemed to of lost there inner fire ever since they won the Superbowl, Like last year they seemed ****ing hungry for that ring, This year its like they are just wanted to slide into the playoffs and then make noise.

He is absolutely gonna **** us up. He's one of if not the best back in the league. It's going to be containment, and a bend but don't break defense. I'd bet the farm we'll give up a rushing TD for the first time this Sunday. If we don't, this team has Royals mojo working for them.

OldSchool 11-10-2014 01:20 PM

Gonna need to get a lot of backfield penetration from the guys up front. If you let Lynch get to full speed, that's when he has his highlight reel runs.

I think we have to find a way to contain Lynch and Wilson from running. If we can do that we can win the game, but that's gonna be harder said than done.

BigMeatballDave 11-10-2014 01:40 PM

Oakland held him to 67 yards on 21 carries.

Sannyasi 11-10-2014 01:52 PM

Seahawk fans should be worried about any team with the way they have been playing. Not to mention the Arrowhead factor.

RunKC 11-10-2014 01:59 PM

If there is a front 7 I want against lynch it's ours.

Bailey/Poe/Tamba/Houston all monsters. Berry and mays should also help.

CoMoChief 11-10-2014 01:59 PM

Our linebackers are drag down tacklers. Lynch might have 150yrds before the games over with.

Russell Wilson is going to run around all day too......we need arrowhead to be loud.

The sidelines? The chiefs are going to be very selfish with the ball.

You haven't been watching this team then. Our front 7 is awful against the run.

O.city 11-10-2014 04:23 PM

We're bad against the run statistically, but look at the qbs we've been playing. We've been in the Nickel 80% of the time. We don't have the linebackers to do that yet.

Just saw the Vegas line. Chiefs are favored -1. First time this season that Seattle will play as the underdog.

Perineum Ripper 11-10-2014 04:30 PM

Do you think Ford will run away from Lynch in this game

Iconic 11-10-2014 04:34 PM

You're saying that with the presupposition that he actually plays a single snap.

007 11-10-2014 05:12 PM

I want to see the fans really bring it in this game. No Guinness just ****ing NOISE.

Unfortunately the fans don't win the game by cheering.

If the Chiefs bring it, the fans will be fine.

We give that appearance. The fact is we drop our LB's into coverage to defend the pass a lot. did you watch how we played Buffalo. There's a reason we haven't given up a rushing td. When we play a team like Seattle we will focus more on the run IMO. Sutton will scheme us a win Again.

Shaid 11-10-2014 08:18 PM

Stop Lynch and spy Wilson. Those are the two that'll kill us with their running ability. The pass game doesn't scare me outside of Wilson escaping.

irocdave 11-10-2014 08:18 PM

Been a Hawk for since day one and lurking here for the last couple of years. As I've mentioned before this is the best board on the net. Fans are self controlling when it comes to over the top homerism but also know how to put visiting trolls in their right full place. I'm not here to trash talk, just give a little objective view of what is happening with the visiting Hawks team and specific matchups to follow.

The Hawks have been hit with injuries this year. Last year not so much, except for the O line early in the year. The Hawks are a running team. The OC dedicated the first 7 games trying to fit Percy Harvin in as the main playmaker, to the detriment to the team. Lynch was the guy who lost touches because of this. Harvin's gone so it's back to the basics for the Hawks, run the ball, then run it some more. If the D ends don't contain, there is no "spy" and or the D backs play man, Wilson will keep it and force the issue. If the D schemes don't change expect to see what happened against the Giants and Redskins, RW with over a hundred yards rushing. RW is always looking to throw when he runs and the receivers know how to play backyard football. Broken plays are where RW shines. I think he has a difficult time seeing over the mass of big people and the Hawks like to roll him out. He can be lethal on a roll out, doesn't matter which side.

The last 3 or 4 games RW's has been off. Might be injured again? This was the reason late last year it seemed he was regressing, some type of injury in his torso.

Anyhow, stopping Lynch isn't the only key. Containing RW is probably the bigger key, force him to stay in the pocket and make tightly contested timing throws consistently. Even then he will make a play or two, running and or scrambling and hit on a broken pass play. He isn't Vick, he's smart with the ball and knows how to avoid getting hit hard.

The O line got two guys back this week (LT Okung and C Unger) and it showed against the Giants. They are much better run blockers than pass protectors. The right guard is nasty (Sweezey), dude is turning in to a stud / mauler. Most of Lynches yards yesterday came on the right side.

On D, the Hawks lost their best run stuffer and all around D lineman, Brandon Mebane. They will most likely be without their best linebacker but PC said he is coming along and may play.

The team lost a lot of great players in the offseason not to mention the injuries but they seem to be gelling now, albeit slowly. I don't see a win this coming Sunday (early game AGAIN) against a good team. Most Hawk fans are thinking the same thing. If the Hawks win I wouldn't be surprised but hell, this is todays NFL and they could get smoked. It's a week by week league. The Hawks seem to be on the upswing and Lynch looks like he's playing for a contract that takes him in to his 30's. He probably wont get it from Seattle and he knows it.

bshmerlie 11-10-2014 08:36 PM

That's a great post. Thanks for the insight. I think this game can go either way. Good luck to you guys. And here's hoping both teams come out of it injury free.
