Adjust your fantasy rosters accordingly.

On a positive note, I do like that it will get Albert Wilson some more snaps. Hammond can go **** a goat, though.

Also expect a heavy dose of Sherman if Fasano is limited or can't go. It's pretty obvious Kelce isn't being used as much as he should be right now because the Chiefs believe they need the extra blocking boost.

If Fasano is out, I'd like to see some three receiver sets with Bowe, Wilson, and Kelce. Lineup Charles and Sherman in the backfield, then presnap shift Sherman out to TE. It keeps our three most productive receivers (Bowe, Kelce, Charles) together, adds in a wildcard who has been playing well (Wilson) and is also a lethal run formation if Smith so chooses to do so.

Feel like this is the most injury-addled KC team in my lifetime.

I don't care what anybody says.... Injuries are negatively affecting the game, not just for the Chiefs. For all teams and it's going to keep getting worse. And the owners and the NFLPA keep doing shit that makes the problem worse and worse.

I feel like, ever since the NFLPA pushed to get OTA's and Training Camp practice time reduced, player injuries have skyrocketed.

Got some CBs dinged up too.

This schedule has been pretty rough in terms of the physicality of the teams we've played

No doubt. From what I've read, there is a lot of conditioning you can do that specifically targets the ACL/MCL. But it requires consistently doing it and trainers don't think players do it. It also gets ignored when coaches try to cram as much conditioning and practice time in the limited time they have together. That's not just for ACL/MCL conditioning, it's overall.

Also... players not playing in pads or doing contact drills... I don't care what anybody says, players are NOT in football shape by the team the season starts. Players can get lazy when they get tired and that doesn't help.

I am sure there are lots of players, especially rookies, who are poorly coached and unprepared, which again leads to injuries.

It's a concerning trend that I don't think will reverse itself until the NFLPA does something about it. Sadly, it won't happen without a major change to the CBA.

Fleming and...? Is Gaines still gimpy?

keg in kc 11-14-2014 03:38 PM

Fasano possibly being out would have been enough of an issue even without Harris going down for the year. It would be nice to see more of Kelce on the field, obviously, but damn we're short-handed enough there already.

This.

On a side note, we'll likely see Stephenson in on multiple TE sets for run blocking or extra pass pro.

Mr. Arrowhead 11-14-2014 03:41 PM

looks like Gaines is Playing according to Reid

Q: Was Phillip Gaines limited today?

REID: “Yeah, he practiced today.”

Q: So you expect to have him Sunday?

REID: “Yeah.”

RealSNR 11-14-2014 03:44 PM

Were people expecting Avery to play this Sunday or what? Everybody is acting like we just lost Poe and Alex for this Sunday.

We're going to be fine.

Not so much Avery but more Fasano on the offensive side of the ball. Then you have the defensive guys who are banged up having to go up against a very physical Seattle team.

I like the op's idea, keep as much talent on the field at all times as possible and thats a great way to do it.

To paraphrase the immortal Bruce Dickinson "I GOTTA have more Sherman, babe!"

He was pretty solid prior to his injury. The way he played last week told me that he wasn't 100%.

I guess we're going to have to put in what's-his-poop that we just stole from the Ravens practice squad.

We're really not asking him to do much. It's not ideal, no, but it's what we've got.

Having Fasano out is gonna give a big boost to Kelce.

That might be a blessing in disguise.

If we can get him the ball early and often, it's gonna help everybody else be more productive. Thomas and Chancellor won't be able to key on Charles.

Hopefully, either Hammond or Wilson can use their speed to challenge them deep so those safeties have to respect that part of the offense.

Everybody is gonna need to be on their a game to win this one.

Warrick 11-14-2014 04:09 PM

Sign Santonio Holmes now and get him acclimated for the 11/20 game against the Raiders!

There have always been injuries in the NFL. Always will be.

Nothing can change that without changing the sport entirely.

Letting coaches coach in the offseason will both raise the quality of play and limit injuries. It's a win win. This abortion of rule changes on offseason practice schedules needs to go... Asap.

RunKC 11-14-2014 04:35 PM

I expect to see a lot of DAT on offense this week.

We still have a number of solid weapons. Bowe, Kelce, DAT, JC.

dtrain 11-14-2014 05:11 PM

I believe given enough snaps Albert Wilson will get it done! He couldn't be any worse than what's been happening? Maybe he will be the first receiver to catch a touchdown pass.

Kelce needs to play more. This could be a great thing for Kelce. Reid forgets he has an insane offensive weapon for some reason.

Time to see more DAT in the receiving game. This could be a ****ing plus for us. Playmakers that are actually going to play.

Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch questionable

Fri, 14 Nov 2014 14:08:39 -0800

Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (calf, rib) practiced in full Friday, Nov. 14, but is listed as questionable for Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: The Seahawks are really keeping Lynch's new rib injury a mystery as of now. The fact that he practiced in full should mean that he'll play against the Chiefs, but you'll want to check back Sunday morning to make sure. If he's in the lineup, Lynch should be a fine addition to FantasyScore lineups for $7,500.

I don't think he forgets. Kelce played 40 out of 60 snaps last week. Fasano played 46, only a few more.

bshmerlie 11-14-2014 06:49 PM

I think with Fasano out we play Kelce more and see what he can do with blocking. Might be a good thing. As far as Avery and AJ Jenkins being out. Does anybody really think that affects our offense one bit? So we go to the backups. They can't be any worse than those two. Maybe the backups will stay inbounds when they're running free along the sidelines for a touchdown.

Just one thing...."Alex please only throw toward Richard Sherman if you're throwing to Bowe. I trust him to fight for the ball...the others....not so much"

I don't think that Bowe can win that match up. Sherman is just bigger, faster, just as strong, and is incredibly intelligent at the CB position.

Dunerdr 11-14-2014 07:12 PM

I just hope Hemingway will catch the ball and fall. Anytime he thinks he's headed upfield he ****s it up. I'm looking for a heavy dose of de'anthony Thomas this week. His speed in a little space can slow down an aggressive physical d in a hurry.

Lol.

Richard Sherman is not stronger than Dwayne Bowe. Hes lanky, and a damn good cover guy but if Bowe catches the football with any room to run Sherman is a broken tackle just waiting to happen.

Sherman is TERRIBLE matchup for Bowe, period.
