St. Louis Raiders?
With the Rams one step out the door back to Los Angeles, there has been some rumors starting to float that the Raiders might be looking into the St. Louis market. It's a viable NFL market for sure with the new stadium they are proposing. It would sure put the Raiders rivalry back above the Donks that's for sure.
|
Hasn't the Greater St. Louis area been through enough strife and trouble lately?
|
God how I hope this happens
|
only if they can be the Ferguson Raiders

A 9th home game? Yes plz
|
Much more likely they join the Rams in LA.
Side note: Since Rams are leaving for LA, does that mean that Chiefs just doubled their fan base!? |

Just the franchise STL deserves.

I just can't see this happening

This would be so bizarre. If you're going to do this, move Oakland to LA and keep the rams in St Louis.
|
St Louis Looters?
|
Stan Kroenke wants to be hated as much as Robert Irsay, Art Modell and Charlie Finley.
I wish Charlie Finley were still alive so he could die a painful death. |

The new I-70 series!

This would be awesome for the rivalry.
All 3 of the teams on the same highway literally a day's drive away. Sweet. |

I've always thought it was absurd that the Giant-Jets, Oakland-SF, Texans-Dallas, Bucs-Dolphins and Bears-Colts only meet once every few years. |

Do they want the Raiders is the question...
|
Quote:
From what i've heard, they're not interested in the Raiders, and the NFL doesn't want them there either. L.A is obviously a massive market, and the NFL missed the boat in prior attempts and doesn't want any **** ups again. They can't afford to have another failed franchise in the west coast's largest market. The NFL wants to put a team in place with stable ownership that they can manipulate and work with. Mark Davis doesn't fit that description. |

If the Rams move to LA I would think that the Chargers could share the stadium with them. It would be a win win for both teams.

If they ever put a team back in LA, what will NFL teams use as a threat to make cities give them what they want?

As if the murder rate isn't high enough in St Louis. Mix in Raiders fans and would become more deadly than the slums of Haiti.

Just say NO to that BS. They might as well move to LA

That could work.

Richmond seems way to close to DC and Baltimore, plus Charlotte Is Portland too close to Seattle? Salt Lake City--I guess, but I've never heard it mentioned before. How about Las Vegas? |

The only real void in the NFL market map is Albuquerque. Stick em near the desert and call it a day.

How does Missouri have two NFL teams to begin with? I'd make way more sense for TX to have 3 teams than for Missouri to have two teams. Missouri, lol...

It's amazing how Denver can support a football team. I mean, they have 7 Fortune 500 companies. That's less than St. Louis' 9. No way in hell Denver can support a football team, right?

Here is some interesting reading about the time when the Cardinals moved to Phoenix about a proposed dome where the Amphitheatre is now.
http://www.stltoday.com/sports/footb...189187674.html http://www.nytimes.com/1988/04/27/us...bean-seed.html Really interesting is that some of the ideas for that stadium is what they got in Phoenix all those years later. |
