That's interesting that they really do the actual minor league type promotions. Most minor league teams in a major market city would try to act more like a pro team than a minor league one with gimmick stuff.

I would think the Chiefs/CHunt would not be thrilled about another major-league team in town. They already have trouble filling Arrowhead, even when the team is decent. They probably don't want another major-league sports option for people to spend their money on.

Sucks for mavs fans.. Increase in pricing, probably pay for parking now, less quality on the ice, and never another playoff win let alone a chance at a championship..

The amount of money they pull from sponsors, merch, tv, corporate tickets and ad revenue is probably most of their revenue. What they rape from the season ticket holders and individual games is just play money..

That's probably true. Selling even a few thousand less tickets per game wouldn't cripple them or anything. Still, I assume that given the choice, they would prefer not to have another major league competing with them. ANd I don't mean the Mavs--I mean if the goal was to bring an NHL team here.
