Yes. Looking forward to this.

Baby Lee 03-01-2015 10:33 PM

No 'An'

'An American Crime' is a movie from 8 years ago.

Tried Battle Creek instead. Seems more my speed. Was okay, a little rough. You can tell Gilligan wrote it a while ago. Might turn into something though.

BigMeatballDave 03-05-2015 10:06 PM

Fantastic!

NJChiefsFan 03-06-2015 02:54 PM

Yeah I thought that was a great first episode.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-06-2015 04:54 PM

Network TV has some decent shows now days. They are getting more and more daring almost like the cable shows these days.

I was skeptical. This is only the first episode, but I'm hooked.

WilliamTheIrish 03-13-2015 11:40 AM

This show has hooked me. The interactions between the dead victim's parents is very real.

BigMeatballDave 03-14-2015 05:23 PM

So good. I can't believe this is a major network show.

like i said, alot of network's are pushing the FCC boundries you can thank Prison Break and 24 for that. lol

I think its more trying to compete with cable and online making them up their game. You just can't keep a Mr. Belvidere or Full House on the air anymore.

RobBlake 03-15-2015 12:29 AM

i honestly think Empire is on the LINE with their subjects and their show.. but the show is awesome lol.

TV is def changing.

Actually, you can trace it all the way back to NYPD Blue.

But this current cycle of boundary pushing is definitely driven by declining network ratings and cable competition

It's been okay so far. Nobody at this point seems very likeable, aside from maybe Benito Martinez. I'm not sure how long you can keep that kind of tone going. I'm good with dark and multiple shades of gray, but there has to be some sliver of light at some point.

Baby Lee 03-15-2015 10:30 AM

How did Benito's kid go from renting out the car to driving it to the abduction

BigMeatballDave 03-17-2015 10:18 AM

This is an Anthology series for those who didn't know.

RobBlake 03-21-2015 09:53 PM

show is going slow for my liking.. i prefer secrets and lies cause its really interesting and easy to get into.. of course i understand American Crime is muuuch deeper but verdict is still out for me

Baby Lee 03-22-2015 02:45 AM

Wow, Lili Taylor has a distinctive voice. Haven't seen hide nor hair of her since Six Feet Under a decade ago, yet two or three words from her shot with her nearly offscreen from behind, and I knew who it was.

So the point is that they're bringing this kid in on absolutely nothing? The car wasn't instrumental to the crime, nor is there evidence that the kid knew their purpose in using it.

Could have sworn they muttered something about him being involved, but the facts don't bear it.

and now it seemsl ike they are holding him because he has issues that can't be solved by going home?

BigMeatballDave 03-23-2015 10:40 AM

I know it's just a TV show, but **** me. People really need to be smarter when it comes to being questioned by law enforcement.

I've been questioning this, as well.

Baby Lee 03-24-2015 11:05 AM

I gotta say that girl is killing it as a hot girl turned junkie. Never been so simultaneously attracted and revulsed. Usually, they either don't pull it off and are the 'junkie' version of the hot girl in glasses, or they are unfailingly hideous.

And she doesn't look like a 'TV junkie,' but a real grungy, tweaked out monster.

Baby Lee 03-28-2015 02:16 PM

Holy under the radar Batman!!

Not until the girl in the coma's dad got pissed at the ADA in episode 4 did it register with me that he was Dan ****ING Dority!!

Evidently he disappeared into the role more than Lili could.

I would not have guessed that. But sho nuff.

Still watching. It's been a little slow for some folks, but I enjoy the pace and character development.

Don't get used to the characters. If there's a season 2, they will be different.
