Beloved: Your Favorite Chiefs. Round 2: Running Back Finals

In Round 2, we bring together all of the survivors from each position group and pick our favorite three.

So that's the rule: pick your FAVORITE three players on this list.

Note: After internal debate, I added Joe Delaney as a potential write-in. He only played two years and so isn't technically eligible, but like Joe Montana and Mark McMillian he might have his adherents.

My votes:

#1 - Jamaal Charles. He might actually be my favorite running back ever at this point. Do you have any idea how fast he is?

#2 - Christian Okoye. Do you have any idea how big he was?

#3 - Priest Holmes. It seems infathomable to list him third, but the top three are all juggernauts.

I'm whispering in your head again.

I'm kind of torn between Marcus Allen and Priest Holmes

Marcus Allen scored his 100th td against the Raiders that really pissed off that ol cript keeper Al Davis.

Rasputin 03-10-2015 02:37 PM

Any one ever get their Christian Okoye autograph picture in the mail?

Imon Yourside 03-10-2015 02:40 PM

Holmes, Charles and Delaney.

Radar Chief 03-10-2015 05:49 PM

Heh, I have an autographed Rashaan Shehee pic. Amazed anyone else remembers him.

It may come back and haunt him in this tournament. Right now, he and Marcus Allen are in a life and death battle.

Sweet Daddy Hate 03-10-2015 06:22 PM

Marcus was beyond reliable.

Rausch 03-10-2015 06:33 PM

Tough, tough choices.

I went with my favorites instead of perhaps the most productive.

Okoye, Anders, Charles.

And think about it: had Kimble come out a decade later and played for KC he might have been Priest Holmes. He could catch, respectable speed, toughness, great blocker, etc.

He finally got his big chance opening day vs. Brister's Broncos and tore his achilles after running for 562 and a half yards...

I did. And met him in person when he was signing autos at some pharmacy Saleamua owned.

I have two, in fact. I think he sold them for like $15 on his site back when all that happened...

ROFLROFL What no LJ option?

Deberg_1990 03-10-2015 06:36 PM

Where my Paul Palmer and Ethan Horton fans at?

EPodolak 03-10-2015 08:02 PM

Delaney, Podolak and Charles for me. Good people that have kept me a fan at various life stages.

Rausch 03-10-2015 08:03 PM

To the Holmes voters: what could Priest do that Anders couldn't do?...

Break the NFL touchdown record, carry the team on his back, fly like Superman, to name a few.

(For the record I voted for both of them.)

I'm still taking out your mailbox.

(This should not be perceived as an outburst furthering a long term disagreement or in any way mistaken as a threat of violence. I, Rausch, have and will have a great deal of respect for wazu as a poster. This is only a strong statement of disagreement and sarcasm posited in a way to provide humor and levity to the forum as a whole.)

Catch a ****ing swing pass in the AFCCG that would have likely sent us to the Super Bowl. :#

suzzer99 03-11-2015 12:18 AM

We still would have been down by 7 going into halftime. The game would have been more interesting but that pass was probably something like 5-10% Win%.

And it wasn't a swing pass it was a little drop pass over the middle.

Holmes fumbled the ball and caused the possession change that lost us the game in the first round.

Again, totally against his character.

Just saying...

Red And Yellow 03-11-2015 01:34 AM

Okoye, because the last time I can remember beating the bronco's was against my brother in tecmo super bowl

Coochie liquor 03-11-2015 08:05 AM

Charles, Allen, and Priest, but I feel crappy leaving Okoye off.

Rain Man 03-11-2015 10:06 AM

Jamaal, Priest, and Christian move on in one of our most pious heats yet.

Sorry, Marcus. You almost had it.
