I mean. WHY? I can't even fathom why.

The Franchise 03-19-2015 11:48 AM

My best guess would be 900 yards with 6-7 TDs.

Sure-Oz 03-19-2015 11:48 AM

@RapSheet: Dwayne Bowe visited the #Browns on Saturday & Sunday. He was 1 of their top offseason priorities. They kept working on it & agreed to terms

2 things stand out from that video:

1) Bowe's stats absolutely dropped because of the lack of 'lock on' but man, he was a lot quicker back then as well. He flat out left guys tripping over themselves with some of the cuts he made there. That Bowe isn't coming back. Present Bowe is thicker, stronger and has better hands but doesn't have near that agility.

2) Jesus tapdancing Christ I almost forget how truly awful Cassel was at times. Several of those throws had nobody within 3-5 yards of Bowe and he's still ramping up the degree of difficulty by 100% because his ball placement is flat out shit.

Thank God that nightmare is over.

Johnson got 3 years, $10.5 m
Harvin got 3 years, $24m which is really 1 year, $6m

Neither deal is for minimum wages, especially Harvin's. Bowe either wasn't in demand or was asking more than the general market felt he was worth in free agency.

I heard 2 years 13 million. Probably not reliable though. I feel bad for the guy. I mean, if it's all money then I won't. Get paid and fade away. I'll have to see the numbers. I wonder what we offered him to stay. For instance, what was his cap hit for us and when does the dead money apply? Because I'm sure he was offered that.

Neither deal is particularly lucrative either. Both are bargain basement deals for vet players.

The point being, this whole "har har playoff teams didn't want him" crap is reeruned.

None of those playoff teams were actively pursuing F/A Wr's with any sort of conviction.
