Chris Conley Is Coming To KC...And The Force Is With Him

Chris Conley is also an amateur film maker. He made a short movie called Star Wars Retribution (i'll will embed a short preview of it and include a link of movie below)...its actually somewhat entertaining lol. :thumb:

Its on youtube under his channel which is his name, Christian Conley. Its his film and he stars in it as a Darth Vader type character called Khari Vion....there is also a cameo appearance by Todd Gurley. I got a kick out of it and figured I'd share here.

http://<iframe width="560" height="3...reen></iframe>

I watched a couple interviews of Conley before stumbling upon this and he is a pretty sharp guy. Between Maclin, Conley, Kelce, Charles, Wilson, Avant, Thomas etc...I'm somewhat excited to see what our passing game looks like in 2015.

Here is the link to his movie on youtube (its like 30 minutes in length)

What a loser. Star Wars is about the worst movie franchise ever made, and I like science fiction. It's so bad. No clue how people are in love with it so much.

Star Wars is one of the best stories of all time. Every one of them is awesome. If you don't like them you are the sworn enemy of the Jedi Knight. :#

HOLY ****. I just realized that I've been following this man for the last year (since his release of Retribution went viral on reddit). I hadn't put together that this was who the Chiefs ended up drafting.

He's an outstanding individual in every sense of the word, my support for this guy just went up 100x.

Ya, apparently its had over a half a million views. This guy is definitely a winner...a leader. Well spoken. I really like this draft pick. This is an interview of Conley from last fall. Hearing him speak here, its abundantly clear that he is a leader. I'm excited to see what he can do.

A New Hope is pretty good.

Return of the Jedi is decidedly meh. You can tell this the movie where Lucas had more power to write in all the worthless and annoying alien race creatures he wanted to.

And the prequels don't exist.

You were probably just upset that the movie theater got rid of those awful Necco wafers because nobody bought them anymore.

Star Wars is awesome. When I broke my arm as a teenager and had to spend my summer watching a mini golf course, I read probably 15 different Star Wars books, great franchise and lots of cool storylines. If you don't like it, I don't really give a shit and I don't see why anyone else cares either. There's a ton of fans out there so obviously you're pretty outnumbered in your opinion.

Disney ran out of "ideas" decades ago, which is why they purchased Pixar, Marvel and LucasFilm. That said, Frozen, which was fully developed at Disney, earned more at the box office than any other animated film in movie history.

I get that you don't care for Star Wars but Disney is the best movie studio on the planet by a wide margin.

Star Wars made science fiction fun. In fact, it made movies as a whole a LOT more fun.

A whole shit ton of movies got made because of the success of Star Wars.

To put this into an analogy you'll understand...imagine a world without oil. Then some guy comes along and strikes black gold. And suddenly EVERYTHING IS AMAZING.

Star Wars is cinematic oil boom.

Dane and I agree on this. And we argue every day. You should probably take it as gospel.

FYI, you're a huge Star Trek fan.

There's a reason a whole crap ton of Star Trek movies got made after Star Wars.

You should read this book. Executives at Paramount were basically freaking out over the success of Star Wars. And they used the same special effects company for Star Trek II, III, IV and VI.

Yes, but the film still revolutionized the special effects industry. The company that did the effects for Star Wars (Industrial Light and Magic) also started the CGI revolution.

And you can thank them for TNG, too.

No. Because ILM got started because of Star Wars. And there are tons of films on that list that aren't science fiction.

Merchandising rights were also a thing that didn't really exist before Star Wars, either.

Additionally, guys like Peter Jackson and James Cameron have cited Star Wars as heavy influence on their careers.

And as I've already said...PIXAR...created by George Lucas. You do know what PIXAR is, right honey?

Oh don't get me wrong. Star Wars certainly has had some influence on cinema, particularly children's movies and films with horrible acting and scripts. They do look pretty though, kitten.

I just don't agree that it's as significant as you want it to be. That's all. There were other films before Star Wars. Lots of them, actually.
