Has the Offseason surpassed the real Season?

I can't recall a more enjoyable offseason of sports watching than this year.

Such incredible golf, excellent softball, baseball. Even the NBA is intriguing with a new team.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the NCAA women's and men's golf championships. I watched every bit of it.

The TPC was one of the best golf tournaments in a long time, going to a new playoff format. Golf in general after Tiger is so much better. Never know who will win.

I saw so many of the softball games. Lotta fun. Some of those girls don't even look lesbian...

And now the Gators men are kicking ass too.

And of course it's wonderful to see the Royals doing so well.

All in all, the variety of sports could have just trumped the #1 sport of football.

Maybe.

Sandy Vagina 06-06-2015 12:19 PM

Glad for you, but I have been really bored with the offseason. Been enjoying the NBA playoffs.. but there's not much in sports that interests me outside of college and pro football.

August can not get here soon enough. :(

What's so great about our offseason? If Maclin and a rookie (Peters) is the reason then we are truly pathetic

Wow.

You really have to try hard at being this dense.

Bearcat 06-06-2015 12:38 PM

Usually catch some lacrosse and some of the French Open around this time of year, but haven't tuned in at all... but, the hockey has been good and winning baseball is nice (even with the recent suck).

I don't think he's trying anymore. He really just doesn't know shit.

You really have to be a true fan to be excited about our offseason. It wasn't by any means good. Maclin will be probably be injured by week 7, if Smith can get him the ball.

Uh yeah, he's injury prone. He was in a contract year last season. He got paid and I bet his numbers won't be remotely close to what he did last season. Save this message.

And if they're not close, you'll find some excuse to defend him.

Inmem can go the **** away and this place would be 100% improved.

Your avatar is fitting because most of your posts are clown shoes.

Went to the TPC again this year, had a great great time. Not even a huge golf fan, personally. NHL postseason was great. Chiefs seem to have had a great offseason. Royals entertaining again this year and the sky is the limit for them. It's a good time to be a sports fan.

College has the better product on the field any more... But it's kind of cheap to pull for a school you didn't actually attend.

Didn't there used to be some way a person would eventually get banned, not for breaking any rules but just for being an insufferable douche who was universally disliked?

I mean, banning has never really been done according to hard and fast rules. If there were a time to make an exception...

jimidollar 06-06-2015 03:10 PM

Royals doing well?

I never know who to pull for. I'm in the middle of FSU and UF fans. They are all so spoiled.

On that note, it's amazing how almost all sports are now dominated by the southern teams. Softball/baseball was once primarily West Coast teams. The SEC owns most sports now.

LSU men won the golf and the women came close. Now Florida has a chance to own both men's and women's softball/baseball.

Crazy.

MahiMike 06-06-2015 04:57 PM

And now...

...a Triple Crown winner! 1st in 37 years.

Deberg_1990 06-06-2015 05:01 PM

Shout out to American Pharoah!

ClevelandBronco 06-06-2015 05:13 PM

If I ever catch myself watching golf, I will have no other reasonable response but to murder me.

Why Not? 06-06-2015 05:20 PM

It would also be kind of dumb to choose a school based on who you root for in a sport you don't play.

I mean I guess that's a shot at me being a D-2 grad but fine.

'gratz on restating what I'd already said.

threebag 06-06-2015 05:47 PM

I pulled for Alabama a couple days ago

Well, I'm a DII grad, so no. And I don't see how it's cheap to root for a school you didn't go to, for the reason I mentioned.... I was rooting for Kansas when I was 10, but their quality basketball team didn't cross my mind when I was looking at schools.

If you could only support schools if you actually graduated from there then football stadiums and basketball arenas would be empty, more or less zero interest in TV contracts... An exceeding stupid notion.

What's the purpose of you even being here? Find another team or sport to root for if you truly are this miserable. As a fan who has to constantly read your constant drivel and pointless remarks, I think it would be best for you and everybody else here if you move on. I don't find your comments witty or even remotely intelligent. You're more like Chiefsplanet's bitchy ex-wife who just won't go away and shut the **** up.

ChiliConCarnage 06-07-2015 07:54 AM

To the OP,

It sounds like you just really enjoy golf. It's certainly easier to find a ton of different sports on your tv now with CBS, NBC, and Fox running sports channels.

EPodolak 06-07-2015 03:02 PM

I watched a few minutes of the Stanley Cup game last night in passing, will end up recording the entire series now. Post-season hockey is addictive. French Open, Royals, pretty good off season recently for sure.
