Thanks for the memories, Jamaal

Kill yourself, slut.

Any good RB left.
|
I'm about to work my mojo from the chat earlier today..
JC definitely tore a ligament in his knee. He most certainly will be out for the season. |
This makes me sad as hell. He's been the only thing worth watching for over half a damn decade. :(:(:(
|
Anything to get this team to 1-15. I don't ****ing care. Sorry Jamaal.
|
FOX just said he was out for the season.

This is a great lesson, though. This is exactly why you don't want the RB to be the best player on your team, as has been the case in KC since the Priest Holmes days back in 2002.
RB's careers are usually fleeting. They take a pounding and the likelihood of being injured is just too great. We need a QB. |

Offense was running all over the Bears to start the second half. As soon as that injury happened, they did nothing for the rest of the day.
He's probably the most important non-QB in the NFL to the success of an offense. No need to stack the box w/o Jamaal, which will close up the short throws even more. Rotate double coverage to Maclin wherever he is on the field and this offense will be completely DOA. I'm just sorry that it happened to him again. He's a great football player and deserved a better fate than this. |

The Chiefs have been way too reliant on a position (RB) that is too injury prone and has too short of a shelf life to build your offense, and franchise for that matter around long term. If this marks the end of Charles as a dominant RB, then one positive that could come of this is that it will finally force the Chiefs to build a team around a QB, which is how you win in the NFL in 2015. |
Not really that great of memories.
|

I hope this isn't the case because I really like him and the story of playing in the Special Olympics and all but this could be a career ender for him

It's not career ending. Tragic yes. |

If we could erase the era in which Charles played I wouldn't miss it.
It has been an AIDS fest for 8-9 years. |
His agent should be disbarred for malfeasance. Letting him re-sign in '14 with KC was negligent.
Both the Chiefs and JC would have benefited immensely from him being traded to an actual contender. |
Another brilliant career destroyed, cHunt-style.

Not avoiding drama. I'm on Tapatalk. It gives me a notification, but I don't see his posts. He knows what he has to do for me to take him off ignore. Not sure why it's your concern though. |

Corey Dillon's career (before the Pats) is similar to Jamaal's.
Good production on a failure of a team. |
Great player who seems like a good guy, too. Deserved a better team.

Unfortunately Charles got stuck with mediocre franchise that doesn't matter. |
This sucks, we ruined his career with shit QBs and coaches. Andy misused him anyway.

Guess he'll have to settle for buying actual Escalades from here on.

We better resign Cyrus Gray ASAP!!!!!

At least we gave him the big contract extension first.

Seriously. He's earned every cent we've given him in his time here- twice over.

I can't tell you how many times I've just watched Charles highlights off YouTube. As a near 50 year fan of the team he's the most amazing player of all. It's been a thrill to watch Charles from the beginning. As for the loss of the game, I saw it coming. It all ended for me with the injury, and just the thought that I might not get to see anymore of his amazing talent the rest of this year. I truly thought this was the best team we've had in decades. But this team doesn't have heart, which is a mystery, unless its because they all know the offensive line is so bad it was going to be hopeless regardless. I felt from day one that Hali and Berry should not have been starting, but I didn't expect to see Johnson appearing as if he was just going through the motions. This team is bad when Berry and Hali are on the field. Whatever happens with Charles, I'll always pull for him and be thankful for being able to see such an amazing talent.
|
One of the most talented players ever to wear a Chiefs uniform. God speed, JC.
|
Welp, he came back from one acl. He's still only 28
|
Quote:
He'll return next season at probably 85-90 percent of his capacity. Then maybe one more year of elite production after he's fully recovered. Then he will start to go downhill if he doesn't get hurt again. We've seen his best days. This franchise wasted an all-time elite talent. |
Well if he retires now he can keep his best ypc in the NFL history books and suck it Jim Brown.
|
Charles WAS the offense, and for a long damned time. A special player.
|
this guy is going to retire with TWO playoff appearances and 0 wins on his resume
what a joke the Chiefs franchise was to basically the greatest RB to ever play for them. |
Ed Podalak begs to differ.

The only player of the past decade to be consistent. One of the best Chiefs I have ever had the pleasure of watching. He could find the tiniest crease of any RB I have ever seen. Too bad we never got him a QB. Offense could have been dynamic.

We saw what happened last year with Charles getting banged up from too many carries. I just don't understand the coaching and continuing to let Charles take >70% of the carries when we're up 2 scores and that Bears defense was clearly being exposed by our backs. West ended up 4.4 YPC today, I hope the trend continues. |

Great running back, who has basically carried the offense on his back. He deserves better.
|
Quote:
Jamaal went into the season injured from the box fiasco. He then suffered a high ankle sprain on the second carry of week 2 @ Denver. He'd only had 9 carries in 5 quarters at that point. |
Jamaal Charles has never "gotten hurt from too many carries". If anything, the guy needed more ****ing carries.

Poor JC. One of the most effective modern day backs, and he's had to play on this team. Wasting his career in KC. Put him behind a solid line and a good QB and he'd be even more amazing.
Road to 1-15, get well Jamaal. |

May this be the tragedy that inspires the change needed. Let the era of Chiefs QB play finally begin.
Please. |
Quote:
You should look at where JC is on the all time yards list and how far off he is from being in the top 10. Despite being #1 all-time with >5.5 yards/carry he is nowhere close to being at the top in total yards. He is a VERY talented RB but he can't handle Emmitt Smith / Adrian Peterson / Terrell Davis amount of carries a game for the duration of the season. |
