Just throwing this out there...

I can't fathom the number of things that always seem to happen with the Chiefs and from a fan's perspective, I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through.

It's like an endless cycle of the same stuff and I know it's maddening. I'm not posting this to be an ass or as some veiled attempt to talk smack. I realize that Denver isn't doing anything special this year unless they turn things around on offense. And, I sincerely long for the days when the AFCW is a beast again - overall with all teams playing well.

You guys have had an amazingly weird season and things got really bad this week. Injuries suck and losing guys like Charles are hard to overcome. It's like the franchise takes two big steps forward in the offseason and then three steps back.

So, just saying that I'm not going to get too involved with any commentary because you guys are tearing your worlds apart with all the talk around players, coaches, next year... there's no need in trying to pee in the pool at this point.

I hope things turn around, you'd like to think that Reid has an idea as to what his plan is and how to overcome it. Maybe it's time to blow it up again, but hell, that seems crazy.

You guys are a great fan base and you deserve to sit on top for a while, I do hope that happens soon. Sucks to be at this point so early in the season. Tex and others will flame away with the mule tool rhetoric and that's fine.

OctoberFart 10-12-2015 04:18 PM

Let me answer for them.

1. Die in a fire!!!!

2. F$%k off Troll!!!!!

3. Eat me completely!!!

4. Die in a FIRE!!!

5. Eat SH$%^!

6. Die Raider/Donk scum

7. Go away troll!!!!

Seriously though, I have been saying KC won't do crap with Smith and Reid except win 8 to 9 games. That required their D to play as they were hyped up to be. Their D coordinator should be worried about his job. All KC ownership really cares about is a full stadium of fans padding their pocketbook. 8-8 is just fine.

Mile High Mania 10-12-2015 04:19 PM

I'm pretty sure this is just how sports works. You root for your team, they lose, and then you wait until next year. Is there a different possible outcome?

Sassy Squatch 10-12-2015 04:24 PM

Full on tank mode for me. We have got to get a legitimate QB and there could be a couple good ones in this class. At this point no ones job should be safe, not after the Green Bay debacle and losing to a Bears team with minimal talent.

DaneMcCloud 10-12-2015 04:27 PM

I've lost the capacity to care. I expected them to lose yesterday and I expect them to lose nearly every game this year.

Reid, Dorsey and Smith will return next year with a shiny new left tackle and a speech about re-committing themselves to football and I won't watch a single game because short of Hunt firing everyone and taking a QB at #1 overall, I won't be purchasing the Sunday Ticket.

Thank you.

What can you do? The ownership is incompetent and not serious enough about winning. I think the organization is dysfunctional and because of that consistently produces negative results.

All this same sh*t that happens to us should be looked no further than ownership. Ownership is the problem and we don't have much of an organization.

MHM I think you are one of the more classy posters on this board even for a rival. THat said I don't want any pity post from rivals Enjoy your reign while it last. I hope it don't last long though and start of next year the three teams in this division Chiefs, Raiders and Broncos will start having it out with young quarterbacks and see who goes to the top.

Your team is on borrowed time with Peyton Manning them bolts in his neck wont hold too much longer.

ToxSocks 10-12-2015 04:30 PM

As the Chiefs continue to fail, my interest in the NFL continues to wane. I've watched maybe 2 games outside of the Chiefs this season.

Hog's Gone Fishin 10-12-2015 04:31 PM

For the 10 millionth time , taking a QB #1 overall or even in the 1st round just magnifies the chances you are wasting a high value draft pick on a bust.

This is the kind of thread where I think we'd be better off playing the part of the good sport instead of the angry asshole. Again, with the Chiefs as the franchise backing-up our smack talk, letting other team's fans brag and boast while we head to the bar for another double, might be the smart move.

Going to games at Arrowhead are nothing like they were 10 years ago.. and even those days were a far cry from the last bit of Marty's era.

The last bit of tradition that was somewhat unique to KC was Rock and Roll Pt. 2. Replacing it with that god ****ing awful song that is now is the last bit of a reminder that it's I'm supporting the same "team" from when I was going as a little kid.

Be done with the facade. Rename the stadium, rename the team. There's no reason to cling to the past anymore.

No they don't , not unless you have a no miss QB as stated.

Too many franchise players other than QBs are available at 1.1 and the talent is easier to predict .

Denver plays dirty - karma will seek them out, I promise. And it'll be a worse let-down than ours, as the timing will be at a far more critical time in the season, just when things are looking 'promising.' I've seriously never seen a team play as dirty as Denver has the last 3 seasons or thereabout. Just throwing this out there.

Let's face it. In the NFL there are have's and have not's. The donkeys have and the Chiefs have not

Enh, I dunno... what can be a bigger letdown than the SB from a few years ago? I've seen my share of years of crazy letdowns, just not to the magnitude of what you have seen over the last 20 years.

That SB loss ... the 6-0 start and missing the playoffs. Griese. Plummer. Griese throwing that INT that essentially ruined TD's career. Throw in the 3 big SB losses from the 80s. I've seen ugly and I've seen epic letdowns.

I guess I don't think anything that happens this year can surpass the SB loss vs SEA as an epic letdown. I'm not expecting anything grand this year, quite honestly.

You're alright but I hate the broncos and am anxious for their decade of dispair.

Hate to say it, but their winning percentage is the best since coming into the league...their terrible years are when they get blown out in the SuperBowl.

YOU FORGOT DRINK ANTIFREEZE BITCH!!

You just get numb and stop caring. I didn't even bother to listen to the game on the radio this week. I was doing yard work and didn't want to bother going into the house to get my phone. I figured the Chiefs would find a way to lose anyhow, and with the season already over did I want to even bother?

The last time KC won a *playoff game* this board didn't even exist yet. Most of us didn't even have the Internet and those who did were on dial-up with AOL or some such.

Think about that for a minute. Kids graduating from high school today have never seen a Chiefs playoff victory. Very soon, there will be college grads who have never seen one. That really says something about the organization.

I'm convinced that no matter who I root for, they will lose the games that matter most. I swear, I really should become a Broncos fan.

I good friend of mines daughter posted a pic of her newborn son yesterday with a new chiefs shirt on. I couldn't help but ask her why she was dooming the poor soul to a lifetime of disappointment. LMAO

A condolence card from the opposition is appreciated, MHM.

This truly is a snakebitten shithole of a team.

Elway knows the importance of a Franchise QB. He'll probably sign Aaron Rogers or someone like that. Meanwhile, the Chiefs will sign Collin Kaepernick or something...

My Sundays will be a lot more focused on what they should be rather than letting a inept organization ruin my day.

I guess you could say that this organization has finally turned me into what I despise, and that's a fair weather fan...no reason to be otherwise anymore.

I'm with you. This was the first year in more than a decade I did not order NFL Sunday Ticket... Deal is you are not a fair weather fan, and neither am I. The Chiefs will always be in our DNA. Deal is, we're fed up and its on THEM to win our support back. We've proven our loyalty throughout our lives and they keep doing the same old shit. There are consequences and the fan base not caring is one of them. That's on THEM bro, NOT us.

Like your handle says, you are a "Fan 4 Ever" and that's a special type of fan. The Chiefs have taken that for granted and don't deserve your outward support.

Poor planning and risk-averse, shitty building philosophy does NOT constitute "snake bitten".

Let us get that straight.

I didn't watch a minute of the Chicago game and have no desire to watch another one until Smith is gone. Before this year I never missed a game, even in the 2-14 season. Now I just don't care anymore. The NFL is dead to me. Go Royals.

it really is a good plan.

I mean, the ONLY thing keeping me interested in the NFL was the Chiefs. without them......pfffffft. who gives a shit. oh darn, I'll miss out on the same rotation of 4-6 teams on TV every week; I'll miss out on all the storylines that are beaten to death; I'll miss out on all the penalties and confusing rules; I'll miss out on fanduel commercials...

I didn't even realize there was a game on last night until I was on CP, and there was an Official Thread highlighting the fact that there was no official thread for the game. LMAO.

NFL sucks shit. once my favorite team is out of it, I don't give a shit. It's terrible to watch.

For me, it's just total fascination at this point. If you look at the raw talent this team has completely pissed away the last 20+years, it's staggering as to how they haven't just lucked into a playoff win at some point. It's like the Chiefs have hit the anti-lottery with the sheer moments of either bad luck or ridiculously WTF moments over the years. Not sure if I've ever seen anything quite like it.

My cousin has pretty nice tickets to the Steelers game coming up, and he told me he wasn't sure if he really wanted to go. He will, but his point was he's just sick of watching the ineptitude year after year, in spite of having legit talent on the team. I told him that when we had our tickets, we'd just hang at the tailgate either for the majority of the game, or blow the game off and stay and party. But now even that has become a pain with the parking Nazis pissing in everyone's Cheerios this year.

TL;DR - The Arrowhead Experience sucks compared to what it used to be.

TEX 10-13-2015 08:48 AM

Not to disappoint. ;)
The Mile High Mule Tool at his best...
Typical, BUT NOT his failt b/c the Chiefs provide him with so much material...LMAO
