Dwayne Bowe - Ring of Honor?
Did he do enough as a Chief to warrant putting his name up on the Ring of Honor?
Chiefs All-Time WR Records Receptions Dwayne Bowe - 532 Henry Marshall - 416 Otis Taylor - 410 Yards Otis Taylor - 7,306 Dwayne Bowe - 7,155 Henry Marshall - 6,545 TDs Otis Taylor - 57 Chris Burford - 55 Stephone Paige - 49 Dwayne Bowe - 44 / edit to state that public polling should be the ****ing default |
Did you fall and hit your head earlier?
|
****ing serious?
|
Without a doubt he should be
|
Oh, you were serious? In that case.... NO! |
I'm not suggesting he be inducted. I am putting forth a topic that I believe people will enjoy participating in either to bash Bowe or to kick the shit out of anyone left willing to defend him.
Some, I'm sure, will actually want to have a discussion on his merits. Hell... after the way that things went down with NS I never expected him to be inducted. |
Dwayne Bowe once dropped a pass and got old, so should we put him up on the ring of honor in spite of the Chiefs all-time numbers he holds for his position?
|
ROFL
|
Are you guys serious?
Look at the turds who are currently up on the ring of honor, and consider who we have right now who can legitimately surpass any of that production, especially given the franchise's penchant for avoiding franchise QBs and the guys they throw the ball to. It's gonna be a long time. May as well throw him up there. |

This goes to show you just how pathetic and shitty this franchise truly is...

I just don't get the point of even asking this question. It's like asking if Jovan Belcher seems nice. |
Relatively speaking, . . Meh.
Sure why not. Bigger issue. They need to rename the entire edifice to Ring of Participation Ribbons. |
Well hay, if we just all look at the numbers and completely ignore everything else then yeah let's add him to the ring.
Tony Gonzalez isn't even on the ring yet tbh. |
If you look at Bowes numbers he deserves to be in.
|
Why not Larry Johnson while you're at it?
|
Yes, and a Sonic logo next to the letters.

And that's all that matters in Chiefs Kingdumb; feeling good every now and then. And pay us your money, please. |
Steve Bono and his 70 yard scamper should make it.

I'd put in Colquitt today over bowe's entire career. The irony of course is bowe's drops led to most of Colquitt's opportunities to shine.

I can't think of one big play, or a time bowe shouldered the load, or won anything of significance....
Dude couldn't even win a playoff game. |
LJ had some transcendent seasons.
Bowe's best seasons weren't jaw-dropping. Yes, their is an argument to be made. |
Just to be clear, Johnson was only good because of one of the best oline in history. I celebrateD every time Charles broke one of his records. And for bowe, he dropped more important catches than he ever hauled in. Numbers through longevity with the team as the only option do not warrant special recognition just based on the numbers alone.

There's an argument to be made for Tamba Hali, but I could also live without it. It's looking like Houston might need a spot one day. |

Mediocre players ARE up there. And once you put in Gonzalez and Waters, there's not much left unless you want to keep scraping the bottom of the bucket. I think Justin Houston WILL be a worthy admission to that list, and Charles has already done enough to go on the ring one day. Who else currently on this team can you think of as a worthy recipient of team HOF honors? |

There SHOULD be a lot of people from those days. But all of them? Lloyd Burress? Jim Lynch? Seriously? |
Here's a better hypothetical question IMO: Who should be removed/isn't deserving of the ROH?

I listen to a lot of Doug Benson [and friends], so I may have an outsized sense of how much everyone but me smokes. And so far as various threads. I've referenced it directly TWICE, once when you were talking about being to overly excited and sad at the same time, and another when you first referenced knowing the difference between weed and spitting on women. They seemed pretty organic responses to your statements. |

Sweet... all good. Just not always easy to tell when people are being snarky over the net. I hope I don't come off as a the typical tv stoner when I post here. I smoke a considerable amount of marijuana but I am not so adversely affected by it that I'm not able to function... unlike others. |

Save the spot for someone worthy of it...like Jeremy Maclin and Jamaal Charles

No Thank You

How many playoff games did Bowe help us win?
Oh. Well, he definitely belongs in the Sonic Hall of Fame. So he's got that going for him. |
Remove Neil Smith, add Dwayne Bowe.

And sell out or no, selling out for a SB ring is superior to selling out for $$ and a seat on the bench. |
Honestly I think he deserves to go in. Just on numbers alone.
It's not his fault he played in a poor era for Chiefs football. |

The fact Bowe is near the top of the list in the Chiefs all time WR stats speaks more to how mediocre the Chiefs have historically been at the WR position than it does to anything great Bowe did in KC.

wherever you lead, break out the book of ruth. |
I love Otis Taylor and even with him, the Chiefs have a very shitty history with wide receivers. Bowe being among the franchise leaders is meaningless.
|
This is hilarious.
|
With the current rules, Bowe would need to be 50 percent higher than Otis to warrant consideration.
|
Kris Wilson deserves a spot.
