Did you watch the game today?

There seemed to be little action in the game thread.

Poll forthcoming...

Sassy Squatch 10-25-2015 04:51 PM

Background noise.

TimBone 10-25-2015 04:52 PM

Yeah

Ming the Merciless 10-25-2015 04:52 PM

didn't get a chance to

figures

Baby Lee 10-25-2015 04:53 PM

Chiefs and Red Zone PiP, but then I woke up early and the London game was already on. So I was primed for a rousing day of background football.

Bowser 10-25-2015 04:54 PM

**** you for the Target and Home Depot options. LMAO

Bowser 10-25-2015 04:56 PM

I listened to some on the radio, and watched maybe the last half of the fourth quarter on the TeeVee. Can't remember the last time feeling so "whatever" during the game and so underwhelmed at a victory.

Why Not? 10-25-2015 04:57 PM

Yeah. On split screen. Paid more attention to my fantasy team players

KCrockaholic 10-25-2015 04:59 PM

I watch every game.

DaFace 10-25-2015 05:00 PM

It's been slow ever since the Packers game broke us, but this week wasn't abnormally slow. In terms of posts in the official game thread:

Texans - 2671
Broncos - 4322
Packers - 2924
Bengals - 1343
Bears - 1620
Vikings - 1434
Steelers - 1397 (and counting)

Rain Man 10-25-2015 05:01 PM

I watched from a sports bar, so I didn't post much since I was doing it on my phone.

Kman34 10-25-2015 05:02 PM

Played golf...came home and caught up on the DVR....First time ever I was nodding off during the game...It's just not the same feeling to me this year....

"I watched with great disgust" not in poll.

Can not vote.

notorious 10-25-2015 05:11 PM

I was so proud of Sutton calling the massive blitz on 4th down when Smith PI'd.

At least they did some things right.

TLO 10-25-2015 05:12 PM

yes and I loved every minute of it

BigMeatballDave 10-25-2015 05:15 PM

Yes, and I don't know that I've felt more apathetic after a win.

ChiTown 10-25-2015 05:19 PM

Was outside all day and didn't see any of it. I checked my phone a couple of times, but seriously, I just didn't give a ****. Good game, but it doesn't change much for me

eDave 10-25-2015 05:21 PM

On and off. They earned my attention next week. If I'm awake.

Prison Bitch 10-25-2015 05:36 PM

Went golfing

Zipped thru on dvr

Never once cared if they won

Buehler445 10-25-2015 05:40 PM

Listened from the combine.

Bl00dyBizkitz 10-25-2015 05:41 PM

Heard we won, that's neat.

I didn't watch this game and I don't plan on watching any other game the rest of the season.

Dayze 10-25-2015 05:42 PM

I watched most of the 3rd through the end. Waiting for them to blow it.

hometeam 10-25-2015 05:42 PM

I went to the game. Crowd was stronger than Bears week.

KChiefs1 10-25-2015 05:42 PM

Yes. I just wasn't emotionally invested today.

DaneMcCloud 10-25-2015 05:49 PM

Yep. Had to work all weekend so I had the game on today.

Bugeater 10-25-2015 05:52 PM

Caught about 10-15 minutes of it. Got more important shit to do right now.

Easy 6 10-25-2015 05:53 PM

Yes - and loved every minute.

No - not fooled by this empty win over their 3rd stringer... our issues didn't go anywhere, they were just glossed over by (FINALLY) a little bit of anger and pride.

Pablo 10-25-2015 06:04 PM

Yeah, switched over to red zone mostly. That first half was ungodly boring from what I saw. I've reached a beautiful state of apathy. Planning to get black out drunk Halloween night so I won't be catching the early morning snore fest next weekend.

displacedinMN 10-25-2015 06:06 PM

I didn't. Or last week either.

It has been A LONG time since I missed a game.
But, I was doing leaves and trying to get the generator started. Had it on in the background and headphones.

TrebMaxx 10-25-2015 06:35 PM

I watched the entire game although I had expected to be pissed off enough before halftime to quit watching and get some chores done around the house. I wasn't motivated to do any work and as long as the Chiefs had the lead I just kept watching.

Buzz 10-25-2015 06:53 PM

Watched the 4th quarter fully expecting them to choke, to my surprise they got the turnover and pulled one out.

No. And not married. Poll fail.

Jerok 10-25-2015 07:17 PM

I work for USPS, was delivering packages for you buttholes who don't realize when they are Amazon Prime members they get packages Sunday. Listened to the game tho.

siberian khatru 10-25-2015 07:17 PM

I followed it on my phone while my son was in the ER for what appears to be a false alarm. But if I had been at home I was not planning to watch much of it.

Nice to win, best thing is that some young guys for the future played well. To me, win or lose, that's what's most important.

Otter 10-25-2015 07:20 PM

I have a lot of friends who are Steeler fans so it's always an exciting match up for me to watch. A win was extra sweet.

Seriously, why do we need packages delivered on Sunday?
When did we become a society that had to have everything right ****ing today?

Watched it felt nothing

cwhocares 10-25-2015 07:27 PM

I watch every minute of every game. even though we won I was still mad. Aren't we suppose to enjoy winning???? I do DVR most of them because I hate commercials. Pull the guy out of the stands that looks like Reid. He could probably call plays just as good.

Molitoth 10-25-2015 07:31 PM

I caught a bit of it and saw West running pretty good. Alex Smith was still not impressive.

I don't think society asked for it, I'm sure it's some corporate meathead's idea 'cause **** the people who have to work Sunday.

Nzoner 10-25-2015 07:33 PM

We moved the chiefs game to one of the small tv's in the gameroom and had Saints/Colts and Jets/Pats on the big screen with sound.

It was a beautiful day to golf. Wish I would have done that instead of laying around watching shit games.

Rasputin 10-25-2015 10:18 PM

Was at e game so I couldn't post in game thread. Chiefs all ready passed my expectations for the year so I thought why not go to a game and see what happens.

Now they will just be spoilers for other teams being trap games for playoff contenders so that will add suspense to the season if you want to look at it like that. I don't care had fun so did my kids so I'm going watch games because it's what I do.

I will say this it was proof winning is more fun than losing. I hate losing.

Vietnam58 10-25-2015 10:29 PM

Didn't watch..I think it's the first game in over 15 years I didn't watch..I really just don't care anymore..I watched the Jets vs Pats ..that was a good game to watch..ill never root for another team but can no longer support the Chiefs..ill just pick the game of the week and watch it

Earthling 10-25-2015 10:59 PM

You bet your ass I watched. Otherwise its kinda like not voting and then bitching about who got elected. Good win and desperately needed. Still not satisfied but I felt good about the win today.

MMXcalibur 10-25-2015 11:17 PM

I watched every minute, but really didn't give a shit like I had earlier in the season.

If we won, yay.
If we lost, BFD.

Chiefs will beat the Lions, grab a few more people on the wagon, and then soul-crushingly lose to Denver.

This.

Some people aren't able to just watch a game for the game, they can only look at what impact the game has on the season. I think they are missing out. Even if we are eliminated from the playoffs it is still a game in and of itself and can be enjoyed as such.

its not so much about winning or losing its about being competitive .. its not fun to watch a team that has zero heart, a coach with no brain, and an owner thats full of sh*t...

the players and orginization dont care.. why should we?..

NFL players dont care about wins anymore as long as they can do their celebration dance get on sports center and rack up fantasy points. .

you think Jamal Charles cares about winning or getting his TD celebrations more?. . I think the broncos game gave us that answer. .

You didn't watch todays game. The team WAS competitive (they won in case you didn't hear), they played with heart, Reid called a good game. Your reasons are all bullshit when talking about today's game (WHICH I WAS).

In fact, your reasons are all bullshit.

Megbert 10-26-2015 12:12 AM

I played 2 softball games in the rain. Played on an all artificial turf field. Lost both games, but I feel it was still a better time spent than watching the Chiefs. Go Royals!

wow they were competitive and won against a team with a 3rd string QB..cant believe i missed that. .

the OP asked the question did you watch todays game. . i said NO. .

I am talking about why myself and some others are no longer watching games in general. .

i personally can no longer enjoy watching it . . if you enjoy it good for you .. but im not wasting my Sunday watching a bunch of heartless scrubs

We beat a team that had a third string qb and the 24th ranked defense in the league.

It feels like 13 all over again!!!!

And now, certain people whom I had respected for seeing the light about this cluster**** have jumped back on Mr. Rodgers trolly as if we had just piss pounded DEN, NE, and AZ in succession.

If it takes playing against a ****ing scrub to bring out the "heart and fight", then what a pathetic bunch this has become.

Unimpressive.

Pittsburgh was ranked 7th best in fewest PPG allowed. They are a middle of the pack defense, all in all.

You guys are the same assholes that stated that 3rd string QB was better than our QB anyway.

Take all of the bitter hate for your own team and shove it up your bleeding ass.

Coochie liquor 10-26-2015 05:57 AM

No, I haven't watched for 3 weeks, because I haven't had a day off. Working nonstop so I can enjoy a 3 day weekend off this weekend with my wife. Pretty likely I'll be very hungover next Sunday and have to drive back home so won't be watching next week either. Had I been home, I prob would have went to a bar/restaurant and watched it.

BigCatDaddy 10-26-2015 06:33 AM

Watched most of the first half which bored the piss out of me so went and worked on my "Trunk or Treat" set up for Thursday night.

I watched it all and I must say; not since the days of Herm falling ass over teakettle in to a win have I seen such a stunning victory.

KC_Lee 10-26-2015 07:43 AM

Had a ton of stuff to do around the house. Started working on those projects around 10:00 AM CST and did not get done until 1:30 PM CST. Started watch online around midway in the 3rd quarter.

Was "meh" during the time I watched. As someone else said, it was just like 2013 when we went 9 - 0 by beating a bunch of back up QBs. I figured we'd go 1 - 3 over the next 4 games but I figured we would beat Chicago and lose to Pittsburgh.

So meh....

Do you think Manning cares about winning or getting his TDs more? I think the SB game against Seattle gave us that answer.

Seriously. It would make me happy if you killed yourself right now. I really hope you consider it.

Vietnam58 10-26-2015 08:47 AM

yeah Jamaal really cares. . doing elaborate TD dances while losing
what do u think hes worried about?

Against greenbay they down by 14 and hes celebratory celebrating. .

then losing 38 to 14 and hes doing the Lambeau Leap

why is he celebrating a TD down by 18 points with 9 minutes left in the game?

hes supposed to be a leader of the team instead hes running around like a high school kid who scored his first TD. .

everyone is blaming ried and alex (and of course they are to blame) but lets be real... If jamaal doesnt cough the ball up twice that game its a completely different season. .completely took the air and confidence out of this team

Jamaal is not a winner..hes a stats guy. .

scho63 10-26-2015 08:50 AM

I was streaming the game on my laptop at the same time reading new stories and surfing the web while also watching the Skins game on local TV as it was the only early game on.

Happy they finally won a game but not very into it or I would have gone to a local sports bar. Couldn't muster up the enthusiasm.
