Fallon

How terrible was that? Does the guy even know baseball? Drew Barrymore probably knows more about baseball than Fallon does. Boo.

baitism 11-04-2015 11:27 PM

Damn. I guess I missed it. The Jimmy Kimmel stuff was funny. They should have shot Seth Rogan, too.

Man, it was pretty bad. He kept saying steal home. And then they took away time from Hoz and salvy to let old saberhagen and current saberhagen make a fool of themselves

Is there any good late night show now?

wazu 11-04-2015 11:37 PM

The Saberhagen piece was hilarious. It's an entertainment show. He mocked Hosmer for the decision to run home, which he at one point admitted wasn't really a "steal". It was all in good fun. He even let Salvy dump a water bucket over his head. What else do you want?

Mama Hip Rockets 11-04-2015 11:38 PM

What a waste of time for Hosmer and Perez. They talked for like ten seconds combined.

mr. tegu 11-04-2015 11:38 PM

I actually like Kimmel. They have some funny skits like celebrities reading mean tweets. They put all the stuff on YouTube so if you haven't seen mean tweets check those out. I also like Conan. Fallon just stumbles through half the lines.

You need to understand that we love those guys, so we could listen to them for 30 minutes unscripted. Most of America couldn't care less. Fallon has to make it a comedy piece for the most part.

I think Fallon is a Yankees fan, but probably defaulted to the NY team since they were in the World Series.

007 11-05-2015 01:05 AM

You guys are being way overcritical of Fallon.

Silock 11-05-2015 01:16 AM

Fallon is a Red Sox fan. He even made a movie about them not winning the WS the year they won the WS and had to change the script. Fever Pitch.

Crush 11-05-2015 01:33 AM

Don't worry Fallon is going to drink himself out of the job pretty soon anyway.

A very heated argument on the merits of a 4-3 defense and whether it can survive in an increasingly pass-friendly league. That's what.

Thats what I hear too. Saw it on Yahoo the video of him stumbling with the bottle of Jagermeister and then fell and broke it slicing his hand. I'm not a big fan of Jimmy Fallon's comedy, I think his show is getting stale. At first it was fun to play all the games with celebrities that you'd see on YouTube but now its just kind of annoying.

Give me Stephen Colbert, Conan, or Kimmel anyday over Fallon.

Also Hosmer and Perez aren't as comfortable with the mic as Guthrie and Gomez. Hosmer tries to carry it, but he's just a laid back dude who does his talking on the field, and Salvy's actions are always more powerful than his words.

Dayze 11-05-2015 06:16 AM

so Fallon is hitting the booze?

007 11-05-2015 06:38 AM

huh? I've actually enjoyed watching him. But, I don't watch every night. Maybe an ep once a week or so. Maybe I just haven't watched enough to be sick of him yet. lol

Of course, I gave Colbert 2 eps and hated him. Loved his show on CC but the Late Show just didn't do it for me.

Bambi 11-05-2015 07:33 AM

You can see Fallon's alcoholism during his show now. Dude needs to go to rehab for a while and get himself put back together.

BWillie 11-05-2015 11:02 AM

My mom is in love with Fallons show, and seems like alot of other women love it too. I think he's alright, I don't really like any of the late night guys much. I think the James Corden? show is the absolute worst out there though. I don't see how Fallon looks intoxicated at all, I'm really confused by that.

Yes, comparatively. Imagine that instead of Hoz and Salvy, you were watching that show and two players from some random MLB team you don't care about were on set to discuss a World Series you didn't watch.

I would rather watch any two players from MLB talk than listen to Christie Brinkley try to turn the whole world into vegans.

Sorry, but Brinkley has star power for the 40+ crowd. I probably wore out my parents VCR rewind and rewatching the pool scene from Vacation. She can sit there and recite the alphabet and that channel's not changing.

I think the lip sync battles are the most overrated thing on his show. I would consider myself a Fallon fan for the most part as well. 43, non-smoker, gun owner and hunter for reference.

I am 59 and what does age have to do with humor? I can watch young comedians and old comedians and get a laugh. I dont find Fallon funny. I didnt think he was funny on SNL and his show sucks but all of them do. I can see NBC sending old Leno back out soon. The sad thing is a naturally funny guy like Craig Ferguson is doing a game show while hacks like Fallon and Colbert have shows. The late late show with the pudgy dude is unwachable. I always found Conan funny but he is buried on what tnt. The trash the whole late shows and do reruns if they cant find talent any better than this.

A lot, actually. This is a few years old, but there's clearly a big age difference in late night preferences.

Also, Colbert just had a good skit with Daniel Craig about Bond using rental cars and destroying them all.
