Ahh **** it i'm excited for this one. No matter how logical I try to be, when it gets close to game time the homer in me takes over.

Earlier this week, I was figuring the Broncos would probably win a tight game. I'm thinking that's less likely now that I've been hearing the reports of the little aches and pains that are piling up on Manning.

I'll just hope that you guys have a good Sunday and the Chiefs don't.

Are we sure there is a game today? 2 hours in and not one mention on NFLN.

With Manning banged up, Talib and Ware out and Sanders questionable, which is plenty of reason to think the Broncos could to lose this game, here's what I'd like to see happen today:

Give Ossy a start, maybe give Siemian a couple series in the second half. Treat it as sort of a mid-season exhibition game. See what we have in our bench quarterbacks against a team that's trying to win.

I mean, since there's a pretty fair chance the Broncos lose this game anyway, why take a chance on the possibility that Manning could have a decent game and win it? He's old, he needs to heal and the Patriots are coming up down the road. Sit him. Invest a game from that three game lead in the team leader. They don't need this one. Sacrifice this game, and even if they lose to the Pats and Bengals, they have a good chance of finishing 12-4. Hell, maybe even sit him for the Bears next week depending on whether they see anything today from the backups.

I'd rather have a healthier Manning later in the season than have a somewhat better chance to win a game they don't need today.

Of course, they'd be asking Manning to put his records on hold...

Ditto. Made breakfast for the daughter and then realized the game had started. I casually cleaned up, turned the tv on and realized it was the 2:30 mdt game. It didn't bother me a bit that I may have missed the first five minutes.

I think he's just playing special teams...What position does that dude even play? Lol When I read they moved him up they said he played DB but he was listed as a WR for the jets, but it says he didn't have any receiving yards... but he had 2 rushing attempts and 9 tackles.... Confusing. :hmmm:

The thing about the 2009 white-on-white uni game was that we had a younger Jamaal Charles go absolutely apeshit in that game. Could conceivably have gone over 300 yards rushing that game if Haley didn't yank him. I guess Charcandrick West can pull that off, any given Sunday and all of that, but I'm just not feeling confident enough to throw any money at that prediction.

Now that you mention it, I think that's correct. That might be the game where DJ "earned back" his starting role with Haley, lol.
