1st & 10 from the 1...Bob Sutton

I don't know what goes through Sutton's head sometimes? You're up 22-0, you have the opponent pinned on their 1 yard line and an "inexperienced QB" playing in his first action of the season.

Why in the ever-loving-**** is Hali dropping back in coverage?
Why are you not blitzing this rookie who is pinned on his 1 yard line?

In fact, I don't care who the QB is, any time you have a team pinned on the 1, WTF are you dropping one of your two premiere pass rushers into coverage???

Did we need more eyes down field to watch the 15 yard pass get completed?
Are we feeling bad for beating up on Peyton so we give the other guy a chance?

I know in the long run of that game it doesn't matter but you had them pinned on their 1 and stopped the drive 12 or 13 plays later by intercepting a pass in our end zone.

This is what worries me about Sutton.

Having said all that I am very happy we stomped the Donks. They can cry about missing Talib and Ware all they want. They didn't seem to mind us missing Smith as they picked on his replacement to tie the game at Arrowhead.

RunKC 11-16-2015 08:47 AM

Did you see Tamba line up at CB just before the Brock INT? Maybe it was confusion but holy **** was Brock stupid to not recognize that

splatbass 11-16-2015 08:55 AM

Hate to rain on your parade, Pete, but Osweiler isn't a rookie. He was drafted in 2012. He played a couple of games that year, and has played since then..

Same-same...rookie, Matt Cassel, ....

Hog's Gone Fishin 11-16-2015 08:56 AM

I told you the Chiefs would win this . I even predicted PM wouldn't get his 3 yards and was close on that.

we have FINALLY struck revenge on the forehead and hopefully will have the satisfaction of putting the nail in his coffin.

Hali may actually be more effective dropping into coverage in certain zone schemes than he is rushing the passer these days...

How terrible is Dee Ford that he can't even replace Hali in a rotation??

1st & 10 from the 1 and a backup QB who just came into the game under center.....I'm bringing the heat on him.

My guess is Sutton tried to outsmart Brock, thinking Brock would anticipate a blitz....

I would have blitzed and made him actually deal with it rather than backing off and giving him time.

Agreed, but my point is : you can time Hali with a sundial these days.

It's exactly the same.

He was a QB who didn't know how to throw an accurate ball in college. He had to learn how to play QB when he got to the NFL.

I have yet to see a QB truly succeed at making that kind of transition from college to pros.

He only looked vaguely good because Sutton didn't give a shit and we had just gotten used to going up against Fivehead's immobility and duck launcher.

He'll be out of the league before Geno Smith when Smellway or some other GM signs him to a new contract, hands him the keys to the offense, and he crashes it into a ****ing light pole

Big whoop...bringing Hali forces you to defend Hali which puts someone in a 1-1 situation

No, it means you can handle Hali 1-1 and double team Houston or Poe.

And yet he's still a better QB than Peyton Manning is right now.

As bad as Manning looked in week 2, he looked worse this week. That might be the single worst QB performance I've ever seen (Leaf's implosion included). Leaf looked overwhelmed in his start, Manning simply looked incompetent.

It was stunning. It's the first full game I've seen the Bronco play since Arrowhead and I couldn't believe how terrible he looked.

That;s why you're a head coach in the NFL. Great thoughts like these.

Glad your not a DC. Bronco's were in Ace personnel, both TE's in a wing on the right, RB lined up offset in the gun. They went heavy protect, blocked seven and only sent three out. Two went deep, daniels on a dig over the middle. They wanted KC to blitz to get the single match-ups/ big play potential.

Yup.

Someone slips and it's a 99 yard TD.

Shoulda put him out of his misery in week 2.

Sutton pulls that crap with Houston on the other side all the freaking time. Drives me crazy with that shit.

O.city 11-16-2015 12:20 PM

You have a 3 score lead on the road in the 4th quarter. You want the clock to run.

I find it funny sometimes the way people are with this. For years, they hate Marty being conservative. Now, up 3 scores in the 2nd half Reid continues to throw the ball and the masses scream "run it!!!" and be conservative.

Crazy circle i guess.

Well to be fair, most of the passes in Andy's playbook are little more than running plays anyway....

Alex Smith had 8 straight incompletions in that game.

If the Denver offense was capable of even stringing together a couple of first downs here and there, it would've worn the defense down and been a completely different ball game.

All those 3 and outs...worst 3rd down team in the NFL, hands down...

We aren't going to be facing 3rd stringers, the worst team in the league, or 40 year old QBs every week.

Sooner or later, this team will have to beat a good team with a real QB.

It is possible we won't see one until the playoffs, when we get trounced in the first round.

Again.

Same as it ever was...

If they only sent 3 out we could have blitzed still had twice as many defenders as they did pass catchers.

Yeah so you bring 5 or 6 and they dont get in vs 7 man max protection, and you have single coverage all over the field. With the lead like that, and how the defense was playing, I'd rather make them earn every yard down the field.

Dude is your math that bad? If we send 5 we have 6 dropping...

That's 6 people covering 3.....

That's double coverage on everyone....

And just because they have 7 in to block doesn't mean we won't get there or pressure a quick or errant throw.

You're up 22-0....you ****ing go after them when they are pinned on their 1 yard line. It's that ****ing simple.
