Nothing like a guy who doesn't even workout starting this thread.

Stick to whiskey threads, brah.

New World Order 01-06-2016 07:50 PM

I'm in training. Sleep training.

WhawhaWhat 01-06-2016 07:57 PM

I've been using the Dietbet app to lose weight. You join a bet, pay a fee, weigh in at the beginning and then weigh in again at the end. If you hit percentage weight loss goal, you get a cut of the total pot.

They have different time lengths for the challenges. I've done a 30 day challenge and a six month one last year where your weigh in every month. Won $150 for the six month one.

lol... Back to the gym this week. Forgot how wonderful leg day is and how much two days later sucks ass.

penguinz 01-09-2016 11:51 AM

Gym is annoyingly crowded. Can't wait until February and everyone goes back to being lazy!

NewChief 01-09-2016 12:01 PM

Two months of fatassing it, and I'm back at it. 4 days in a row, now. I've got to stay on it, because I got depressed as shit when I stopped going.

KCUnited 01-09-2016 12:08 PM

Saw 2 Chiefs caps at the gym this morning. It's happening.

You're considered a n00b after 2 months off, n00b.

lewdog 01-09-2016 12:10 PM

I've been rocking Royals and Chiefs gear all month while deadlifting like a boss.

TinyEvel 02-22-2016 05:38 AM

I moved to KC in June. My usual weight without doing anything to lose, is 224. When I started the original weight loss thread in 2010 I was my heaviest ever at 236. Feb. 1 this year I weighed 248.

Feb 10 I gave up drinking, was much more conscious of what I eat (simpler breakfast, simpler lunch, less snacks) and work out (35 min lifecycle, 25 min weights) 6 mornings a week. I'm losing a steady .5 lbs per day. I'm down to 241 with a target weight of 221 and ideal goal of 210 -- which I think would be tough to maintain without tightening up what I'm already doing. I'm 6'2" and wide-shouldered.
But just in these 12 days --damn I feel like I've lost 20 lbs. I have so much energy during the day and sleep well at night.

Silock 02-22-2016 05:44 AM

Got the flu. Haven't lifted in 6 days. Boo.

Gonna suck going back tomorrow, if I even can.

I'm not gonna lie its been months since I lifted, but I have been working out regularly at home and on the streets.

I've also had the flu since last Wednesday. I've called out of work Thursday, Friday, and today, and I feel just awful for doing it. How do you not beat yourself up over calling out sick?

Most people feel awful, some just don't give a ****.

I've gained 32 lbs while pregnant. I had a scare very early on. I wasn't on bed rest, but I could not do anything that put too much stress on the pelvis. Gave up my gym membership, since I wasn't going to be able to go anyway. Basically, right now, I get winded if I'm on my feet for too long (couple of hours). Walking is about my only exercise. Plus, I came down with gestational diabetes. Counting carbs has really helped any further weight gain, though. I think I've gained 1 lb in the last five weeks.

Plans for after this kids decides to pop out: Dad got me a jogger stroller, and I'm so looking forward to putting that to good use. Plus, I'm going to keep on counting my carbs. PLUS, breastfeeding burns calories! Yeah! (TMI, I'm sure.) :)

Chiefs Pantalones 02-22-2016 11:44 AM

Take some Pro Muscle and 100% Shredded. You're welcome.

ThaVirus 02-22-2016 12:30 PM

I think I'm going to try to bench press 315 lbs soon.

I haven't been making much in the way of leg strength gains, although they've certainly gotten bigger. I need to go harder.

Breastfeeding burns a mountain of calories. You can sit around and do nothing and lose weight

315 is a fairly big bench. What are you currently benching?

You always say you're skinny. 315 is a no joke bench. Are you actually touching the barbell to your chest? No using the smith machine?

HonestChieffan 02-22-2016 06:56 PM

2015 I lost 57 pounds. After wifes heart surgery I made the decision to get heart healthy. 2016 goal is 25 more before getting on plane for Italy in September.

Marcellus 04-08-2016 05:42 PM

Did 100 pullups as my bicep and back workout today. I think I may be hurting big time in the next few days.

I did sets of 5 every minute for about the first 10 sets then had to slow down and take longer breaks. It got pretty sloppy at times and by the end I was doing 3 or 4 then dropping and resting for 10 seconds and doing the rest.

Amazing how sore you can get from something so simple. I did 60 last Friday and hurt for 4 days. I could have done more but was doing a relay run Sunday and wanted to be able to lift my arm.

lewdog 05-22-2016 06:51 PM

Anyone here have a weight vest they no longer use and want to sell.

I'm in the market but I am not spending the money being asked for a new one.

So you want to sell me yours? :D

Yea, it's nothing earth shattering. But if it helps get your heart rate up a bit and burn some extra calories, I am all in. Just general conditioning from wearing one when doing chores. Many talk about extra calf development from doing it as well.

O.city 05-23-2016 06:44 PM

Welp. Goodbye overhead pressing and front squatting for me.

Grade 3 AC joint shoulder separation. Got tackled from behind in soccer. ****ed it up real good on the way down.

Don't know about surgery yet.

Time to get fat.

Simply Red 06-30-2016 11:51 AM

I just ate 12 ounces of chicken and about 3 or 4 cups of steamed brocolli.

Sorry, I didn't see this before. I am using a Smith. It sucks but it's all my gym offers and it's tough to beat $10 a month. I definitely do touch my chest on every rep. I feel like I'd be cheating myself if I didn't so I tend to get the full range of motion on every workout.

I was always pretty skinny. I guess I've bulked up now. I'm currently about 175. Generally speaking, I've been around 150 for most of my adult life. I actually got on MySpace a couple weeks ago and found a shirtless pic of myself at 17 or 18 years old. I seriously couldn't have weighed any more than 130 pounds. It was gross.

Anyway, Smith machine be damned, I remember the days when I struggled with 185. I've come a long way.

Ah 185 isn't skinny by any means.

I'm 5'11 and 185 and nobody would call me skinny. I used to be 200lbs in my 20's when I was trying to get huge.

I prefer 185 and am going to drop another 5lbs by end of summer.

I got down to 173 last year training for a 50 and that was a bit thin.

185 is a good weight for 5'10 IMO.

If you are using Smith machine you need to subtract about 30-35lbs from your racked weight. That still puts you at 285 which is still strong for your weight.

I have separated both. Is not fun. Stick to landmine squats and dumbbells for bench and shoulders. Obviously go much lighter than normal.

My Ortho has told me the only thing holding my shoulder girdles together anymore is the muscle and keep lifting as long as it is bearable. Once I stop and/or it becomes too painful it will be time for the knife.
