#2 - Elle. I adore Elle. She's spectacular, and she would get my vote against most competition. But she can't topple Salma in this heat.

#3 - Bar. As discussed before, very attractive but not in a distinguishing way.

Curious about the finals. Are we doing head to head? Maybe a better way would be to have one round with all four, everybody votes for their top three. Lowest vote getter gets ousted. Second round, all three, voters pick best two. Then the finals. That way all four finalists go against everyone.

Just a thought.

It's not growing old. I just don't get the system and how it's played out. No visible bracket chart n stuff

I've pondered that format, which I really like in concept. My concern, though, is whether it creates a foregone conclusion if one person (e.g., Salma) jumps out to a big lead in the first round. Would it then stifle interest in the next two rounds? I've always been afraid to do it for that reason.

Elle is great, she really is. She's hot as the inside of ravioli. But if you're picking who's hotter and you're under 6 feet tall, is Elle really going to be hot when you show up at her door and she towers over you? Keep in mind that Elle is 6-0 in height, while Salma is a much more manageable 5-2.

Hmm... I don't think so, just because you have to account for the votes that go to the loser, and while in this case Salma gets the top vote in that first final round, it's conceivable that she was actually everybody's No. 2 choice.

I'm thinking it'd be a really good way to get to the final two, while not telegraphing the win.

Tough one for me. It's between Salma and Bar. In any given pick I can look at them and say "meh" or I can say "daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn." Neither one of them beat Kate Beckinsale for me.

I think I give a slight edge to Salma in the facial department so I'll give her the nod.

The other 2 are fine, well deserving of the accolades, but they don't hold a candle to beauty and hot at the same time.

The other 2 will not look anything like this at 50! Salma is 49, you show me a pic of her that is perfectly shaped as Elle's! Go ahead, find 1 pic where she has the perfect shape, finely toned!

Bar is perfect now!, HOT in every way, the face could be better but it's very fine, no turn off anywhere. She will come closest to Elle's shape at 50, Salma while a year away gives the appearance of broader hips. Her face is fine, but doesn't have that beautiful or HOT look to it. She has BOOBS, big BOOBS. There is more to HOT than BIG BOOBS.

I eventually gave up trying to formulate a cogent response as the worlds greatest poets and painters would have inevitably come up short in this regard. I've had to type this entire post with my eyes closed just to get this far.

I'll say this for Selma - she's like one of those #1 seeds in March that just keeps running into brutal competition and so by the Final 4, she's running on fumes. Starting with Wood and moving on, she's had round after round of brutal competition and the bruises she's taken along the way are catching up to her. The anti-Hayak crowd has come out in force and it's probably going to be enough to take her down short of the crown.

But in a just and fair world, she wins this thing.

Sorry I've been absent today. I was gonna start the next round tonight, but it's been a long day of real life stuff, so I'll start the next round tomorrow.

Since I'm waiting until tomorrow, I guess a quick open discussion about this idea would be cool. I kinda like FMB's idea, although I have concerns about things getting stale with the same girls in three straight polls.

My plan was to do two head to head heats next round, to decide the final two girls.

Rain Man has mentioned that he's wanted to try FMB's method, but hasn't due to similar concerns to mine.

You guys care to do it FMB's way, just to see how it works out?

I assume the majority don't care, but figured I'd ask.

I'd do 2 heats and seed it up. Go through the 4 girls and see who collected the most votes to least and seed it like a bracket.

The problem with seeding is that the votes a person receives varies depending upon the competition, when the thread is posted, and how long it stays on the front page.

Doesn't matter in the end, Kate Beckinsale still wins. But voting on the same girls 3 times and just removing the lowest vote getter seems rather dumb.

If Beckinsale wins this thing, I won't even mind that it means Scarlett had to lose. I didn't realize Beckinsale was was wildly popular as she is. I thought she was an under the radar beauty. The way she disposed of Salma, Welch, and Wilde was very impressive.

Yeah, we'll likely do it with head to head heats. I just figured I'd get some more opinions.

Due to wildcard heats, we are already seeing some similar matchups. I think if you start with FMB's suggestion it will get stale very quickly. It's not a bad idea, but I don't think we need to drag this out.

What about putting all four girls together and taking the top two to the finals. I just think all four have the right to go against all four. This would eliminate that.

So my proposition would be all four in the semifinal round, each voter gets two votes. Top two go to finals. Same number of heats as if you did two head to head, then finals. No staleness.
