You mean congratulations, not sorry

We definitely needed another thread about this

Dumb.

jjchieffan 04-04-2016 08:01 PM

Good for him. He's guaranteed $11.9 million this year. He shouldn't take less. If horseface doesn't want to pay him that, then he should tell him to screw off. I would.

Rain Man 04-04-2016 08:14 PM

Good for him. Refusing to play for John Elway. It's nice to see a player with ethics.

Yep. Plus its not a case of taking a little less either. It's roughly $5M on a $12M deal. Kaep is a fool if he does it.

Wouldn't a Chiefs fan WANT him to go to Denver?

I'd prefer not to take the chance that anyone could resurrect his career. I'm perfectly happy with butt fumble as their starter.

BigRichard 04-05-2016 04:23 AM

I am sure this has been discussed in the other thread but was he in any danger of being cut from SF and not getting the 12mil or whatever it is? If he was getting that money whether he was cut or played he would be a fool to take one cent less.

You might be playing with fire in that regard as well.

It matters not. You KNOW what Denver is about to do. Oh yes, picks are about to be moved.

Quesadilla Joe 04-05-2016 08:10 AM

Warren Moon thinks he should be interested...

Quote:

“I just think that offense is more tailor-made for him,” Moon said of Denver’s system. “He doesn’t have to be as effective of a passer in that offense. It would probably be like a 48-52 ratio in passing and running, because that’s what Gary Kubiak wants to do. He wants to run the football a little bit more and be more of a play-action-type of passing game and get him out on the corner. He can also add the read-option as part of his arsenal.”

“I think it’s a perfect situation for Colin and he gets to be around John Elway, he gets to be around Gary Kubiak, who was a quarterback, so you’ll have good mentorship around you,” Moon said. “In San Francisco, he was around defensive-oriented coaches, like Jim Tomsula. When Jim Harbaugh, an offensive-minded guy, was there, that’s when he had his best year. I just hope his ego doesn’t get in the way, because they’re asking him to take a pay cut. He can make that money back.”

What has made you think John can draft well? Roby?

Garcia Bronco 04-05-2016 08:19 AM

Kapernuk is a moron kid that can only run the read option. That was when he was successful...running a college offense in the pros. Let him stay where he's at or go anywhere else.

He could not have been cut because he can't pass a physical. He was going to get paid his $12.9 anyway. Denver has no cap space so they are trying to get Kap to take a pay cut or get SF to pay part of his salary. Both have said, "HELL NO!" You have to remember, they only have $14.1 counted against he cap for Miller, who is asking for $22-$25. They will have to structure the contract in a way that counts very little towards the cap to give them enough to pay Kap. They can cut Clady to free up some space also. Most of the Bronco fans feel Elway is playing this perfectly and he is negotiating from a position of strength because SF doesn't want Kap (contrary to every quote from Kelly) and he will be a distraction and be a problem (despite him knowing he is playing for his next contract). They are convinced that SF will cave and pay the $5 they are asking and take a 5th round pick. If Elway trades a 5th round pick for Kap and gets SF to throw in $5 million, I will be impressed.

It's guaranteed.
