Ignored Planeteers Prediction Contest
 

Spinoff from theelusiveeightrop's thread, I've been able to dig the actual list of how many ignore lists each user is on. We're in a pretty boring time of the offseason until the draft, so I figured it'd be more entertaining if we make a game out of it.

So here's how it will work. Each person can make a list of up to 10 names that they think are on a lot of ignore lists. You will score a point for each user who has ignored the name you list. So, for example, I've already disclosed that "Stop, Chiefs" is #1 with 40 ignores, so he's worth 40 points.

I'll reply to each list with 1) a number that you picked that are in the top 10 and 2) your total points (including ALL names - not just those in the top 10). The former will be the first factor for ranking, and the points will be the tiebreaker.

A couple caveats that I know are a pain but will make my life manageable with this:

• Your list of names must match the EXACT USER NAME as found in the member list. So "GoChiefs" doesn't work.
• Please list names with one per line, nothing before or after the line.

I know that kind of sucks, but I'll spend hours compiling point totals if I don't do it that way.

Once we hit Thursday evening, the top two scorers from Round 1 will move on to a head-to-head round, Family Feud style to reveal the top 25.

Oh, and if this ends up being boring and/or too complicated, I'll just post the whole list and be done with it. :)

Ha, you would have a distinct advantage, though I'll note that my original username counter had a slight bug, so the actual list is slightly different than the one you've seen.

Hopefully, though I'm wondering if it's too much effort for a lot of people to participate. If this doesn't work we could just have people randomly guess and fill in the list as names are thrown out.

Maybe guess 5 names or something? 25 is a lot of work to participate.

yeah, that'd be kind of boring though. I'll change it to top 10 for now. #1 is already a freebie after all.

I'm about to head home from work, but if there's still not much action on this when I get home, we'll just have people throw out names and fill in the list.

While that could be fun, the angst level and effort required would both be very high.

Too complicated for me but very interesting idea. Could be fun.

I only have one of these on ignore. I rarely use ignore, in fact the one person off this list is the only one on it.

Most that list I have no problems with but the nature of most there posts in in DC. Most likely things get heated and the block button gets punched. Also most these posters the first sentence usually starts with your a moron. This definitely gets things off to a poor start.

For others, don't do dashes - it'll save me 30 seconds or so.
