Which area coach is on the hottest seat?

Job security not huge issue in KC sports, but some more secure than others among Yost, Reid, Vermes, Self, Snyder https://t.co/phP5586GxE

Thought this was an interesting write up.

I'd agree with that list. Weber and Anderson's seats are ****ing smoking right now.

Sully 05-12-2016 08:53 AM

Anderson's seat isn't hot. It's not even really a seat. he's just squatting in place until a new guy comes with an actual seat to sit on, and kicks him out of the way.

Its kind of the same with Snyder in the other direction sully. He could go winless for a year and they aren't firing him. He's there til he decides not to be

He has absolutely earned that. the guy resurrected the program TWICE. He is Kansas State football, and will be for generations.

Weber? On the hot seat? Bullshit. On the contrary, he's insulated himself from any of his own mistakes and whitebread corn pone fans still support him because "I mow my own lawn and eat sherbet".

Weber should be fired on the basis of his public mishandling of the Marcus Foster weed situation and his inability to recruit to overcome his public mishandling of Marcus Foster. ****ing guy, I knew he'd kill the bball program, and I knew it would take him less than 4 years.

Yeah. Going from Martin to Weber is brutal.

As well he should be.

Reid, because he's fat and fat people hold a lot of heat. Just imagine how hot that seat gets.

Prison Bitch 05-12-2016 11:36 AM

Ned and Self are the only ones with titles, and nobody else can even win their league so they are obv the only 2 safe ones. The rest could all be fired and nobody would even notice

you are so ****ing wrong about that.

it's custard.

I don't think anyone is in danger of being fired this year. Yost may just quit because he has had enough. Vermes had an U.S. open cup win last year and they are still in the playoff race. Andy Reid is a professional and won a playoff game. Self may jump to the nba but not for a couple years.

Now, imagine that scenario, add in seven defecting ***** players in two years, including his entire first recruiting class, and halve his win percentage. Then, you'd have Kim Anderson.

But as long as the players sit up straight in their chairs, enunciate words properly and don't wear coats inside we're on the path to greatness.

Kim Anderson is a better coach than Turner Gill ever could have wanted to be.

In fact I view the Turner Gill era as the introduction to Tywin Lannister in game of thrones. If the deer is the program and Gill is Charles Dance, there is a great amount of blathering on about honor and duty falling upon deaf ears while simultaneously gutting and skinning the program.

If only Gill sounded like Charles Dance in stead of forest gump.

I'm not defending Gil because he really is a shitty coach but Mangino aside from 1 fluke season never had a winning record in a fairly easy conference but you guys act like he was Bowden or Osborne. 2009 was a precursor of what was in-store for your football program. Again Gil was a real bad coach but he at least brought some talent to the program and I don't think it would have been as bad of shape had he been given more time opposed to going with Weis or even the guy you have now.

Did you watch any of those games? Giving him time was not an option. That was some of the worst football I've ever seen. And if it wouldn't have been for Tony Pierson it would have been a lot worse.

EDIT: Besides that, Fatgino was usually around .500 except for that run. Give me .500 with the potential for a run with a couple key players over goddamned tire fire any day of the week.

I hope Kim Anderson gets one more year as one giant "**** you" to the True Sons who wanted him in addition to the overlap of supporters of all athletics who were also supporters of CS1950.
