Rio Olympic officials literally lost the keys to their olympic stadium today and had to use bolt cutters to get in.

I have zero interest this year, especially after the IOC ruling on Russia.

A couple of months ago, i was totally disinterested. As the time has arrived I am starting to warm up to it a little bit though.

Mostly just because it's nice to be able to turn the tv on and there will be sports of some kind.

Don't really care too much about the opening ceremonies though.

I've never in my life cared less about sports than right now.

Not that I'm down on sports. I'd take a good ManU match. And I'm certainly slavering for football to return in a few weeks.

But this Olympics, madonn. DILLIGAF.

I enjoyed the 96 Olympics. There were some good stories there and Michael Johnson outrunning the camera. He embarrassed fools in those races. That solidified my interest in T&F. Which led to my best athletic success. (Which wasn't much).

I believe there was a pipe bomb in Atlanta.

I wouldn't say that I care about the Olympics.

However, it's fun to watch in the evenings for a few weeks, so I do. That's about it.

I just found out NBC will air the Opening Ceremony on a one-hour delay and will NOT allow it to be live streamed in the US. They say they want to edit the "slow" parts.

It's Rio. I bet they're going to edit out the parts with semi-naked prancing women in Carnival costumes.

Equestrian and Fencing got me jacked up hardcore!!

So, there's a refugee team. How does that work?

They're in the Olympics, but they have to walk 12 miles to the facility every day carrying a child on their back.

Seriously, though, I guess that's kind of cool. Are they a refugee team because their nation of origin isn't fielding a team or because their nation of origin wants to kill them?

Most of those tricks listed are street skating tricks. Fakie is generally a half-pipe trick, and it's really not a trick. It's basically just going up the ramp, putting the front truck over the coping, then just going straight back down.

Fakie is the same foot position but riding the opposite way that you normally would in that position. So if you are riding fakie you can do any trick that can be done when you are riding normal. For example, a fakie kick flip.

Watching the Opening Ceremony now. The visuals are cool but I've no idea what the heck is going on.
