Where can I watch the game in downtown Denver?

I'm flying in this morning and would like to find a decent place to watch the game in enemy territory. Downtown or near the convention center fits best for me. Bonus points if you can turn this into an Alex Smith thread or get Bob Dole somehow involved.

PM Bob Dole to locations to watch Alex Smith throw 8yard bombs against the Colts.

Rasputin 10-30-2016 06:11 AM

See what Rain Man is up too. He maybe up to polling the locals for 100 answers you get for the Family Feud. Wow RM have you ever thought of working for the Family Feud?

Tell you what, Nas, I would guess that even if you DID have a fantasy football team and it was a real good one, and even IF you were starting Alex Smith, Bob Dole STILL wouldn't muster 10% of a good care about your fantasy football team.

As far as the game, you should try to find some dyslexic chiefs fans and watch at the bra with them.

Henry's Tavern would be my suggestion near there.

DaFace comes through. Gracias my friend.

Or if it's your thing, the Tilted Kilt has lots of screens and decent "scenery".

It's good to have options. :D

DaFace 10-30-2016 07:01 AM

If you want true sports bars, most are up near Coors Field. Not as convenient, but if atmosphere is what you are looking for, Lodo's, Sports Column, and a few others are good options.

Rock Bottom? Yep, still here. It's lost some of its appeal to me since we have tons of great LOCAL breweries these days, but it's still around.

I went to the bull and bush off of colorado blvd when i was there. Good place, good drink prices. Not right in downtown but also not full of homeless people.

That's it thanks,we had a beer with Frank Boal(KC tv sportscaster) there,I'll never forget him saying there's no way KC has a shot to win that game.

Yep he always gives solid advice about the area. I remember he turned me onto a breakfast burrito place when I was in Golden a couple years ago that was fantastic.

I do love that place. To be clear, my suggestions are convenient to the convention center and have lots of TVs, but Denver has far better bars to offer if location isn't the primary concern.

Ha, I don't even know what that would be at this point. I do love exploring the metro (and beyond) though and am always happy to help.

Yeah it was good, but on day two I didn't order the "Extra Hot." :hmmm: I can handle really hot, but this thing was on a whole different level.

I enjoy hot foods, but I draw the line at anything that I will be feeling the next day on the other end. ROFL

Yeah, I prefer off the beaten path as well. Alas, I'll be using transit and have a suitcase since my lodging won't be ready. I'll just join the filthy tourists and urban adventurers.

That's exactly what happened dude. I was about ready to hustle down to the front desk and borrow a fire extinguisher after bending the towel rack into the shape of a horse shoe. :D

I'm not homeless!

I hope JimN found a good place. I've struggled with sports bars here for some reason. There are lots of them around, but none that are an obvious winner in every dimension that's important for a sports bar.

The flight was delayed because of the fog here AND we sat on the tarmac on departure and arrival for a good half hour. By the time I made it to Denver I ducked into the first place I found. It was the Yardhouse and it was fine except they turned every tv in the bar to the Denver game when it started. :cuss:

That was me bitch and I told you you weren't man enough for hot before you went in. Next you'll be giving some other turd credit for recommending street tacos in Belize from the massive juggs girl. Kidding, but that was me and I recommended Santiago's and you're absolutely right about those coming back swinging on the way out, still worth it.
