SNF Broncos @ Raiders Preview

I know there's no love for either team but this is a game that impacts the division and the Chiefs quest for the divisional lead. I like the Raiders in this one. What say you?

Easy 6 11-05-2016 09:02 PM

Oakland will get punched in the mouth a few times and roll over

TigeRRUppeRRcut 11-05-2016 09:06 PM

Will the real Derek Carr please stand up...

Rain Man 11-05-2016 09:06 PM

I'm disappointed that we're already two posts in without a "Screw both of these teams" comment.

rockymtnchief 11-05-2016 09:07 PM

I'm pulling for the Faid, but I think Von makes Carr shit himself tomorrow.

I'm stoked about this game. Should be the game of the weekend.

I'd prefer the Raiders win(helps us more) but this is exactly what I expect to happen.

Yep, dinver isnt what its been in years past... but they still have a closers mentality, something oakland hasnt had in forever

Rasputin 11-05-2016 10:46 PM

Raiders will get called for all their cheap shots but the Broncos won't. Dirty game both sides Raiders lose because of called penalties.

Screw both of these teams

Lol, your assessment is actually highly likely. Broncos do get a lot of non calls on their defense. Its just one of those things that seems to be constant. Raiders of course on both sides of the ball are the polar opposite when it comes to officiating. lol. They may be able to beat shitty teams like the Bucs while being heavily penalized, but they aint beating Denver that way. Whats funny is the Broncos are actually the dirtier team between those two. Its really not even close.

eDave 11-06-2016 12:55 AM

We will see the real Raiders. W or L.

dannybcaitlyn 11-06-2016 04:05 AM

Yea, I believe Broncos will get this one. You beat Carr with pressure and the Broncos bring a ton of it.

Pointer19 11-06-2016 06:15 AM

I'm hoping this game ends in a tie. :D

Coochie liquor 11-06-2016 06:44 AM

Denvers D will be too much for Chokeland. Maybe one day Chokeland will have aD to go with their offense. But not likely. Von steals Derrick Carrs lunch money.

Dungver 30
Chokeland 17

If we can shut down their offense with Houston out Denver will face rape them...

wazu 11-06-2016 08:27 AM

I will be full-on rooting for the Raiders. I just hate the Broncos more than anything. Seeing them and their fans suffer would bring me joy. Don't really care that much about the Raiders. Plus we already beat them once.

Best case would be a Raider win.

As you said we've already beaten them and with that defense would be easier to catch as the season goes on...

TigeRRUppeRRcut 11-06-2016 09:10 AM

We should be hoping for a tie

displacedinMN 11-06-2016 09:18 AM

Broncos. It is Unamerican for the Raiders to be on top of the division.

SAGA45 11-06-2016 09:27 AM

Broncos will miss Talib in run defense on the outside...and Webster in dime packages. Roby is starting. I liked him at Ohio State...very physical and aggressive but on the smaller side going against Cooper/Crabtree. Miller is a beast but it'll be interesting to see how he does with less help from the corners in disrupting routes.

Here's a nice vid breakdown from PFF:

Hoping for a Fader win, for 3 reasons

1) we all know Chokeland gonna choke down the stretch
2) another division loss for Dungver would be awesome
3) **** DUNGVER

But not expecting them to handle that rush and the corners.

stumppy 11-06-2016 10:15 AM

Since they both can't lose I hope it's a tie. **** the doncos.

BlackHelicopters 11-06-2016 10:28 AM

**** Denver.

Chief Northman 11-06-2016 10:33 AM

I think Oakland squeaks by. Injuries to Talib, Anderson, etc. will be too much for Denver to overcome. Del Rio will get the better of Kubiak.

Mr. Flopnuts 11-06-2016 10:39 AM

**** em both. In the ass. Dry. Denver is more battle tested so they'll win. I expect to be somewhere in the range of 17-16. Denver will score 10 on turnovers, and Oakland will come up short of the endzone 3 times getting in once. It's going to be that kind of game. OR...Denver will find a way to face rape an Oakland defense that is still pretty suspect to me. That said, I have zero faith in Semen or anyone else not named Sanders or Thomas on that offense.

A tie counts as half a win for the Broncos. No thanks.

Spott 11-06-2016 10:45 AM

Oakland is the inferior team, so it would be better to root for them, but I see Denver beating them by 2 scores.

Pretty much.

WE need the Raiders to win.

Won't happen, but it would be nice...

If Oakland is gonna win they are going to have to step their game up(defense, penalties). Their play so far suggests they can handle roughly the bottom 2/3rds of the league but the top 1/3 is too much for them. KC, Atlanta come to mind. Although I believe the Atlanta game was a back and forth one score loss, but KC handled them fairly easily.

They look like a one and done WC to me.(unless they draw the AFC south winner) Denver on the other hand has already proven they can win with that D with little help from the O so a Denver loss is the best outcome.

Pasta Little Brioni 11-06-2016 11:03 AM

Denver gers away with things others don't on defense

Del Rio has never been a big game coach. He had a couple of decent years in Jacksonville thanks to weak schedules, but you could always count on his team losing handily when they played the better teams. He's much like Jeff Fisher is, who always ends up at about 8-8 every year.

I would argue that.

Fisher was always milk-toast in the regular season and balls to the wall in the post season. He'd try or do anything to win.

Del Rio is more like the post Steve McNair version of Fisher. Del Rio was never as successful as Fisher was in the playoffs and isn't as good of a coach IMO, but he would take a lot of the gambles during the regular season that Fisher did in the playoffs. I would guess that his overall regular season record is very close to .500.

Lightrise 11-06-2016 11:29 AM

I'll know the Broncos are going to win about 2 minutes before I vomit.

PREDICTION:
As depicted by the data, this is a fairly evenly matched contest but upon closer inspection, things shift a bit in favor of the Raiders winning this game. The Broncos Pass Protection score of 2.20 opens the door for the Raiders defense, led by pass-rushing monstrosity Khalil Mack, to be disruptive and limit the Broncos ability to keep pace with the Raiders offense.

Also, the Raiders have a slight edge in SOS which becomes magnified by them having home field advantage. Therefore, despite the Broncos ranking higher in BES Overall, we expect the Raiders to win this game and take sole of possession of first place in the embattled AFC West.
