The Chiefs have won six games without Houston this year so there's no reason to rush him back if he's not fully prepared to play.

John Clayton just said Houston isn't listed as out and that Andy Reid will talk to Houston today to decide if they will let him play or not, but that Andy doesn't want him to play this week.

Maclin is very important -- he does force defenses to account for him. But so can Hill -- speed kills in the NFL.

We can compensate for Maclin. We can compensate for Houston, as we have all year.

It's the loss of Howard that can be really bad. This is going to force Nunez-Roches to get major snaps. Kendall Reyes will see an uptick in snaps, too. And who knows what we'll get out of David King, who looked very good in preseason but who knows...

Not even, I love Houston. He's actually my favorite player and I rock his jersey every now and then. I think it's petty to keep sitting out when you're cleared to play.

Thursday they'll say he's ready to play and he's ready. Friday he'll be questionable, then he'll be ruled out that night.

Obviously, you don't want to lose a game, but losing to a non-division, non-conference Opponent is not the end of the world.

You have a layup at home next week against the Bucs. I'd rather sit Maclin, Houston and Howard (if necessary) for a couple more weeks and have them fully healthy and ready to go for Denver. THAT is a game we need them all!

I don't think we're going to lose to Carolina this weekend, but if we do its not a crippling loss that kills our playoff seeding. Those division games are much more important!

I saw this and knew Maclin was out. Need to rest his groin and not let that linger. I'm ok with resting guys that have injuries. I don't see us winning this game at all but we may if Hill can roast their terrible special teams and Alex can make some plays to Hill and Kelce deep to open up the run game. I think we'll come out passing to try and loosen their run D up. OL needs a HUGE game this Sunday. If they can pull this game out of their asses then wow. The key game is in two weeks at Denver. I like this challenge Sunday with guys out. It's time for Smith to carry them to victory. He's shown he's capable. This is a big time game for him. Our WRs are the most important group besides our OL. They need to step up.
